Parabox

Lubor Fiedler

Description

See the back of the package.

Comments

This is an enhanced version of Lubor Fiedler’s Gozinta Box where boxes of the same size can fit inside one another. A sponge ball routine developed by Toru Suzuki was incorporated into the Gozinta Box presentation to make Parabox.

My Rating [i]

Very Good (7)

Examinable

Yes, except for the red sponge ball

Repeatability/Reset

It needs to be reset in private

Additional Items Needed

None

Prop Notes

The first version of the trick had a black box and a red box where in future releases the black box was replaced with a blue box. Nothing else was changed other than the color of one of the boxes. Store the sponge balls separately because the dye from the blue ball can stain the red and especially the yellow ball. Very Often you can see the yellow ball already stained in the sealed package. Tenyo sponge material is the softest in the world. If you have never used a Tenyo sponge then you are missing out.

Performance Notes

Wet and ring your sponge balls at least an hour before performing. Once they are wet and ringed they will regain their shape as well as grow in size. A good tip by Steve Vil of New Jersey, USA, is that at the end of the presentation, stack the sponge balls on top of your fist (first red, then blue and yellow) and press the three balls into your closed fist. When you open your fist there is no longer three small balls but one large red one. I perform Parabox using Steve’s enhancement.

Package Notes

This trick was released originally in the Vintage Blister on Card package in English and Japanese and later released in a Modern Japanese Box package.

Availability [i]

1 every 3 months or so.

Approximate Pricing [i]

$250 for a sealed English packaged version
$150 for a like new version in neatly opened English package
$100 for a like new loose version.

Crystal Pyramid

Tomoyuki Shimomura

Description

See the back of the package.

Comments

This is an iconic Tenyo that is a favorite of many. The imagery of the pyramid and the heroglyphics make for a interesting prop.

Pros

• Very nice looking prop with great theme
• Diabolical gimmick

Cons

• There is a slight “noise” issue
• Difficult to carry around

My Rating [i]

Pretty Good (6)

Examinable

No

Repeatability/Reset

Instant

Additional Items Needed

A silk large enough to cover the prop

Prop Notes

Their is a variation for the prop of Crystal Pyramid. The base comes in both green and purple. The purple version is for sure rarer.

Performance Notes

Often Tenyophiles complain about this trick being noisy. I do not find it a problem. The coin is being transported from the holder to the inside of the sccophogaus. I wouldn’t image that to be a silent transport. Also I use a dime instead of a quarter which softens the sound.

PACKAGE NOTES

This trick was released originally in the Cello Bag w. Aqua Card package and J-Numbered Box.

AVAILABILITY [I]

1 every 1 or 2 months

APPROXIMATE PRICING [I]

$75 for a like new one in package.

Future Clock

Toru Suzuki

Description

See the back of the package.

Comments

Future clock is a mechanical marvel but the provided routine does not do the trick justice. That is why I developed the Sherlock Holmes Clock Add-On for Future Clock and Mind Scanner (another trick needing a good routine). With the Sherlock Holmes Clock Add-On an interesting story is presented that enhances the overall effect.

Pros

• The effect is very strong
• It has a brilliant mechanical gimmick
• It is a very cool prop

Cons

• The routine is not as strong as the effect.
• It is a bit large
• It gets scuffed easily

My Rating [i]

Pretty Good (6)

Examinable

You can hand out the clock and the case separately

Repeatability/Reset

PACKAGE NOTES

This trick was released originally in the Cello Bag w. Aqua Card package and J-Numbered Box.

Availability [i]

1 every 1 or 2 months

Approximate Pricing [i]

$75 for a like new one in package. There is no such thing as a sealed one since it comes in the Aqua Card in Cello Bag package and I have had a half dozen of these come through and none were brand new.
