Prison Box

Angelo Carbone

Description

See the back of the package.

Comments

Prison Box is my second favorite Tenyo magic trick. It is great to perform and has been 100% reliable. I like to perform it along with Crystal Cleaver.

My Rating [i]

One of the Best (10)

Examinable

Yes, but don’t hand out the clear cover together with the box. Also be careful that the audience members handle the box carefully as the railings can be broken.

Repeatability/Reset

Instant

Additional Items Needed

A silk to cover the “move.” It is also possible to do the “move” behind your back without any cover (see the Hot Tips below)

Prop Notes

It is recommended not to store the prop with the nuts tightened too much because it can warp the plastic box.

Performance Notes

When I perform this trick I make it very obvious under the silk that I am turning the box. I wait until some says “make the ring go to the middle” which usually happens after the second or third time under the silk. Once they say that then I do the move and leave them scratching their heads.

Package Notes

This trick was released in the Modern Blister on Card package in English and Japanese. The wing nuts sometimes come off the bolts and can be loose inside the sealed package.

Availability [i]

1 every month or so. Prison Box is becoming harder to find. It still may be possible to find one or two of these in an out of the way magic shop for the original price

Approximate Pricing[i]

$125 ↑ for a sealed English packaged version

$100 for a like new version in neatly opened package

$75 for a like new loose version.
