Yes but the original idea came from Jack Hughes with his Skeleton in the cupboard:

https://www.etsy.com/nl/listing/6962949 ... ack-hughes

I know for sure, it’s in his books The world of Jack Hughes.
Hi Rob, what year would that have been? Does it say in his book?

Re: T-133 Bare Bones

Are there no history buffs here?

It was first published by Mr James Lucier in Genii 1949, it was called The Cockeyed Skeleton in the Closet.

It's a shame Mr James Lucier was not recognized in Tenyoism.

IDoes anybody have any suggestion though on how to best restore the white color of the dice so that they more closely resemble the ones seen here http://funstuffonly.com/tenyo/t091-t100/#t097 Try this technique; using Hydrogen Peroxide and UV light. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz-HSjGj0ek I for...

Congrats Oyvind!

My guess was based on adding up the numbers on each die top and bottom. ;)

My presentation went well last night. Using the dowsing rod added that +1 to the spectators experience. Heading over to a friends tomorrow to present it again.

Edit:

Presentation was a hit this afternoon!

Re: Tenyo Mental Bento casting new parts

I'm going to see how using jewels in the Bento box plays out on a few friends. The cubes just have printed out decals for now. If it goes over well I might cast some in clear cubes. I'll use the Dowsing Rods and some cards to determine the jewel they choose. Still working on the patter about Gemology.

Beside Tenyo versions there are so many other cool versions that amazed me :) :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l9hTgfWzT0 I don't collect them but have always had a deep fascination with Automatons. I know of an incredible collection of complex Automatons which are w...

Hello everyone, I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Ron Leshem in case the cleverly titled user name wasn’t clear enough, and I’ve been an avid magician both as a professional, hobbyist and most recently magic creator, since I was 12 years old (25+ years ago). Welcome Ron, I'...

Tenyo Mental Bento casting new parts

I found this video interesting and thought some of you might also. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmIw36eQVgQ I thought about casting them is a transparent resin then while the resin was still liquid insert an acrylic diamond into each one. BTW, I'm not affiliated with the mold supply company. You ...

Re: Hi from Tampa Fl

Thanks for the welcome!

@ØyvindK my favorite kind of tricks have changed over the years. I use to like ropes, then coins, but I've always enjoyed close-up. Of course it goes without saying that I've enjoyed many of what Tenyo has offered over the years.

Re: What are you working on?

I'm working on a version of Devil's Dice but using 1" hollow cubes. They'll be painted all black and have painted edges. Also going to try using 1" wooden die blanks and bore thru one side.
