Re: Help needed

I wonder if he'll put out any more. He's my favorite one. I don't suppose Tenyo has put out any tricks where magic seems to happen in a spectator's hands like Sterling Lethal Tender, have they? God bless, Jason Irelan He died in...October 2015 I believe. As for stuff that can happen in their hands:...

Re: Help needed

I know Invisible Zone is one of his easiest tricks to do. You'd have to be blind and have no limbs to perform that one because there's really no practice required. Blue Crystal isn't too bad, and neither is Anti-gravity Rock. I watched Penn and Teller Fool Us for the first time tonight. I figured i...

Re: Help needed

How many tricks has Lubor Fiedler invented? The only one of his tricks I don't like is Flying Carpet, but I'd say Card Surgery is his best one. There's only one thing I can't do with this trick that Copperfield did with the baseball card trick. God bless, Jason Irelan - Parabox - Invisible Zone - K...

Agreed, I'd say about 90% of Tenyo Japanese instructions can be figured out by illustrations alone if you put a little time and elbow grease into it.

Yes! Absolutely!

I don't have either trick, but Funnel Vision is apparently doesn't work 100% of the time. It is a neat concept though!

Re: Least Favorite Tenyo

I can think of one example of a world famous magician who exposed secrets to a non magician, and I'm not talking about the masked magician. I'm talking about Copperfield who revealed all his secrets to Claudia Schiffer when they were dating. I personally don't believe in just giving away secrets. I...

But here's a resource for Voodoo dolls: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voodoo_doll

Re: Least Favorite Tenyo

For something that's not satanic, it seems highly unlikely that God would hurt innocent people just to entertain an audience. Mel B may not be the most moral person in the world since she's been known to have a bathroom mouth, but I highly doubt He would go that far in her first life. If the old te...

Re: Least Favorite Tenyo

Some of the performers seemed more focused on baffling people like the Clairvoyants who kept saying they have ESP when they're just tricks. I felt that another one went too far in his performance because he used a voodoo doll, and those are satanic. If Tenyo ever put one out, I wouldn't go so far a...

Re: Least Favorite Tenyo

Truth be told, A LOT can baffle the audience. The real difference, in regards to these talent shows, is if the magician is more entertaining. Look at Piff. He did a card to Impossible location (dog food can). Impossible location is an ages old archetype that can be done any number of ways. But most ...

I do not have one, however they go for reasonable prices on EBay (around $30). And it's the more available electronic Magic Works (Spirit in the Coffin being much better, but has some fragility issues from what I'm told)

Re: I am Going to Share a Secret with You

I know it was mentioned earlier that the best surefire way was to purchase from online shops in Japan.

Has anyone bought a 'new' one from a magic shop in the US?

Namely, does SEO Magic stock the new version?

Re: Here's a question.

Do magicians ever get upset if their tricks are exposed online? I was able have find out how Steve Brundage did some of his Rubik's Cube tricks as well and the secrets to a few of Mat Franco's tricks and the Clairvoyants. A couple of them didn't look that hard. I'd need to practice a little, but I ...

I'm no big fan of scorpions. The only way I would get one is if I knew the secret to that scorpion trick and it didn't seem too difficult. God bless, Jason Irelan Even if the scorpion trick is easy, point still stands, you have to take care of a scorpion before and afterwards. To me, that seems to ...

I saw Kotkin doing another one that looked pretty good. It's where he tore some playing cards and made them penetrate each other. This was years ago when he was very young. God bless, Jason Irelan At this point, which Kotkin? Also, as stated earlier; I know you like Copperfield's material, but util...

If it's by Copperfield, I highly doubt it'd be available--legally. After a bit of reading, it sounds like you'd need to know not just the trick, but actual handling of love scorpions. Nooooooooo thank you! As for the trick itself, it sounds like it would utilize some commonly known methods...and the...

Got asked in another forum of what I had magic-wise.

Unfortunately, we are moving in the next couple months and the collection isn't the neatest it could be. But for all intents and purposes.

Re: Cutting edge

I thought China Surprise wins the worst Tenyo trick category. No? Inside Japan, China Surprise was the best seller that year. Outside of Japan? The cultural reference is lost and it loses a lot of its bite. Because it's more of a 'regional' trick, I honestly don't classify it amongst best/worst bec...
