Re: T-255 Card Surgery

Roberto has a way of making an effect a million times better! Today, I went back to his demo of Sugawara's Dice Escape and watched it a few more times. He took what was a somewhat complicated handling and made it so much easier! I hesitated to perform it but now I will after practicing his method to...

Re: MB Magic Works Electronic Talking Toys discussion

I am thinking that I like Spirit in the Coffin the best as well. I like the look and design of the props and the way it works. A very cool effect!

Perhaps the runner-up for me is Secret if the Sphinx.

My opinions are subject to change without notice.

Re: MB Magic Works Electronic Talking Toys discussion

All by Mark Setteducati--a genius. Indeed he is! He also created many other things such as the MR. CREEPY MAGIC SET, THE MAGIC SHOW book, the Magic Works series concept, lots of great toys, and much more. I consider Mark to be someone the world of magic is lucky to have. His creativity is truly won...

MB Magic Works Electronic Talking Toys discussion

I thought it would be fun and informative to have some discussion about the three Milton Bradley Magic Works Electronic Talking Toys. That is, Guardian of the Grave, Secret of the Sphinx, and Spirit in the Coffin. Last night, I decided to dig them out of storage, insert the batteries, and try them o...

Re: Collecting Milton Bradley"s Magic Works.

I wonder why no one has ever posted demos of any of the Magic Works Electronic Talking Toys on YouTube. The only one I see there is a brief television commercial for all three. They are interesting, unique, easy to use, and very clever IMHO. I took them out last night, loaded the batteries, and had ...

Re: Collecting Milton Bradley"s Magic Works.

The seller states that the bottom piece has broken off which I believe is common with the Magic Works version.

I remember reading some time ago that their version of the trick was not made by Tenyo and had issues.

Just a friendly heads up! :)

Re: I am Going to Share a Secret with You

I would be interested in a version which has better quality for sure. I'd even prefer the seller taking it out of the package and making sure it's OK ... . I can get a dozen of them and only have to open one of the boxes in the dozen. If that one is the newer version, then they will all be. So, if ...

Re: I am Going to Share a Secret with You

Steve, I do not use a cell phone at all but still like the trick. I let the spectators use their phones, it is even better that way. I perform it for the teens and 20 somethings that are so attached to their phone. It has gone over well. I didn't realize you can use someone else's phone. Now I want...

Re: I am Going to Share a Secret with You

I assumed that the package reveals nothing. That's why I asked what I should be looking for. Perhaps I should have said inside of the package to be more clear. If anyone wants the new one, I think I can help if someone can tell me what I am looking for with the apparatus. Actually, I think I will be...

I may be able to get the newer version for anyone who wants one. When was the improved version first discovered?

Can someone please PM me and tell me exactly what I am looking for? I don't know this effect so need help with just what I must find.

Re: Lie Detector Animation Frame

You don't want to buy the one Tenyo sold outside Japan. You do want to buy the one they made for Japan, where they have the Disney license, because it has a recognizable character on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20BLv6qJ_og First of all, there is nothing wrong with the one sold outside of Ja...

Do you think Crazy Spots will get discontinued too and the price of that one will skyrocket? I'm not saying I'd sell it if it did because I only have one, and I like it. God bless, Jason Irelan Tenyo already discontinued Crazy Spots. I doubt very much that it's price will ever skyrocket for two rea...

RIP Daryl

I am very sad to announce that Daryl has passed away. What a wonderful magician he was! Certainly one of the very best of my generation. He was 61.

A gigantic loss to the magic community worldwide!

God bless, Jason Irelan
No, it's an old classic effect where you place three blocks, two red and one yellow, into a frame type box and the yellow block inbetween the two red blocks is visually squeezed away and vanishes.

Re: This one baffled me...

I just opened my Needle Through Ribbon and I am very pleased with it as well! First, I was happy to see that it is somewhat smaller than I expected. I think of it as one of those tricks which appears to be more expensive than it is. By the way, it is indeed made in India. For those who find changes ...

Although it may be a difficult feat due to Tenyo Forum members living all over the world, it would be a very cool thing if we could somehow have a get together!

Imagine the fun and frolic we would experience at a Tenyo Magic Forum Conference!!!

Re: What are you working on?

What am I working on? Too much! It's best to work on one thing at a time so you can perfect it and then move on to the next thing. I used to be better at that. Nowadays, I move on from one trick or thing to another which does not allow me to achieve my intended goals for quite some time if at all. I...

Re: Cutting edge

Simon just reminded me of the time that I visited Davenports and I remember them having two Tenyos that day...Magic Painting and Alpha Tunnel. I went with Alpha Tunnel and am glad I did! I ended up with Magic Painting some years later when it was re-released in different packaging and at a much bett...
