Re: Tenyo 2019

The one thing I am not thrilled about would be the wrappers included for each bar. Eventually, they will wear out and you will be using the props without them. The size of the bars are not standard so are not easily replaceable Since I don't have the trick, I'm not quite sure what you're talking ab...

Re: Question on Tenyo Diminishing Returns by Mike Powers

Thanks for posting this comparison Victor! I agree that the Bicycle version is indeed the best of them because of the quality of the card stock, familiarity of the back design, extra included cards, and top notch instructions.

Re: Tenyo 2019

So here is my review of Tenyo’s 2019 Chocolate Break trick... Method: Ingenious Props: Well designed and great looking Quality: Great for the candy bars but not so much for the two wrappers Effect: Fantastic and capable of performing a variety of things This was the new Tenyo release for 2019 I was ...

You are very welcome Victor! What a beautiful routine you created using excellent add-ons and a very well thought out presentation to a prop which some would say was in need of a tune-up.

Way to go Victor! :D

Re: T-186 Antigravity Rock

Although I have enjoyed watching various demos of this effect, I have never performed it. For me, I find it to be more convincing on the screen than in person.

It does have that realistic rock look but I don't know if I would call any rock good looking unless it came from a jewelry store. :D

Re: T-241 Illusion Truck

Hi guys, the mechanism under the truck, do you think it is a locking mechanism ? No, the mechanism does not lock. I have really liked this one since it was first released. Many have accused Tenyo of being toys and I don't see anything wrong with the toy-like nature of Tenyo props. In fact, that is ...

Re: Magic Wagon - Ultimate Mental Boxes

Technically, this isn’t a Magic Wagon release. It’s a collaboration between Magic Wagon, Viking, and Tony Curtis. It appears that it was Tony Curtis who wanted this created and with the help of Magic Wagon and Viking, it came together and each contributed to the props. The small size does make it mo...

Re: T-222 Fortune Sticks

I may be in the minority here concerning this effect but I never found it to be all that exciting. In the past, there have been many effects similar to this one and I prefer some of those to Fortune Sticks. Please don’t get me wrong! It’s not bad but not a big deal to me personally. Interesting that...

Has anyone made the voodoo doll version as shown by Tenyo? I actually like that better than the butterflies but do like the cards and butterflies provided too.

This is one of my favorite Tenyo releases from recent years.

Understood and agree completely. That being said, the question is: Do we use the term too loosely?

I guess it’s a matter of one’s own opinion.

That will be all... :D

How does an effect/prop earn the Tenyo-Like category?

I sometimes wonder what aspects of a trick gets it into the Tenyo-Like category. I know that certain types of props with certain somethings will earn a trick that nickname. In essence, those with close similarities to Tenyo tricks. It just seems that perhaps the term is now overused somewhat and has...

Re: Looking for Suggestions for Upcoming Focus On Tenyo

I was just thinking (oh no, here we go again!), since the effect requires you to spread the cards out, perhaps Tenyo considered that and made sure that the provided deck spreads easily. Hmmm... Well, there’s one way to find out! :D In the not too distant future, I will open it and see what lies with...

Re: Looking for Suggestions for Upcoming Focus On Tenyo

I suspect that the best version is the one with the Bicycle deck which comes with a 16 page booklet and a bonus effect. The Tenyo version is cool to add to your Tenyo collection but I assume that the deck quality is not quite as good as the one mentioned above. I do have the Tenyo one but have not o...

Re: Looking for Suggestions for Upcoming Focus On Tenyo

I was wondering why my Diminishing Returns suggestion did not make it to the Focus on Tenyo place and then realized that it’s a place for T numbers only apparently and Diminishing Returns doesn’t have a T number. Another problem is that perhaps not too many of us own that Tenyo release because it wa...

Please allow me to point out that for a mere $15 including shipping, you could get a brand new genuine Tenyo Flash Dice.

Thanks for posting that Victor! I am very interested in three of them, especially the chocolate bars trick. So 2019 may be an interesting year for Tenyo! Thank you for the link Elliot! Appears to be in Japanese so not practical for use by others outside of Japan unless the props are remade in say English. Re: Tenyo 2019

I think that the ring and star trick uses a very simple method and can indeed be used with other objects as long as they are flat and a similar size. Great potential IMHO!

If Seo offers the new +1 trick option again, I am thinking that is the way to go.

Re: Looking for Suggestions for Upcoming Focus On Tenyo

How about Tenyo Diminishing Returns from 2007 which was a Japan only release? It was Tenyo’s version of the MIke Powers effect and was actually the same thing but came with Tenyo designed backs. The Power’s release used a Bicycle deck and had a bonus trick which I don’t think was included with Tenyo...
