Re: T-132 The Ninja Experiment

Hey Jeff,

This is one of my favorites as well. I would love to see this done in wood...or even 3D printed.
I’m glad you finally got this one as it is one of Tenyo’s best.
I can’t wait to see your idea for replacing the pencils.

Re: The Holy Grail

Hello GrahamMatters and a belated welcome to the forum. I would say Ninja Experiment is definitely one of the highly sought after Tenyo items. However, Floating Lady (especially a mint/unopened one) is equally sought after. I have both tricks and they are in my top 10 favorite Tenyo tricks. Not only...

Re: Tenyo 2021

I am not seeing much buzz at all on the Tenyo 2021 line. I guess most people must have found the items uninteresting. The only effect I purchased this year was the Honeycomb trick. I thought it was ok but not anything to write home about. 😊 I think the Tenyo of old, that I grew up with and loved, is...

I like the Baby Jade Rings but I still believe a more clever method can be devised. I will continue to think this one over. 😊

Re: Magic Cubelise (EZ Magic)

I just performed this trick for my wife and adult daughter and it fooled them both. This proves the point that just because an effect doesn’t fool we magicians (who know most of the secrets), doesn’t mean it won’t fool the general public. I thought that even though I liked this trick, it was too sim...

Re: Magic Cubelise (EZ Magic)

I would have loved this trick as a kid. Heck, I love it as an adult! 😊 It’s too bad that it’s no longer made and near impossible to find now days. I was lucky to find this one 2nd hand. Since I got it (about a week ago), I’ve been trying to come up with a method where the clear cube can been shown t...

Magic Cubelise (EZ Magic)

Here is a cool vintage E-Z Magic piece called “Magic Cubelise.” You place a coin on the black plastic plate. Now cover the clear cube with the larger green tube and place both on top of the coin. Make a magic pass and lift off the green cube. The coin appears to have vanished as the clear cube can b...

Mark Wilson

Mark Wilson passed away on Tuesday, January 19th. He was 91. I enjoyed his TV appearances when I was very young and just getting into magic. So many of the early tricks I used to fool my friends with came from his Complete Course in Magic. I still have the older and revised editions in my magic libr...

Re: Happy New Year from the Garden of England

Welcome aboard Chris. You will love it here. Lots of creative minds and great friendly conversation. I can’t remember the first magic trick I ever owned but I do remember the first one I ever saw that started my interest in magic. I was in kindergarten and one of my classmates brought in the old woo...

The method seems obvious to me. I notice they only show the trick from the front....no side or back shots.
If it turns out that it can be performed surrounded, I may be interested.

Tenyo Mirror-Mate T-124

Finally, after years of failed attempts at acquiring this piece, it is now a part of my collection. Mint/sealed in the package for only $65. My patients once again has paid off.
Now if I could just get my hands on Space Walking Coins and Side Track.

Re: New additions to my collection

David, Yes, “The Elusive Sphere” trick is just that…”Elusive,” when it comes to trying to find it or anything about it. I believe I have only seen it once on eBay and maybe once on a magic auction site. I also saw it in an old Abbott’s magic catalog. 60 plus years ago it was only selling for $4.50. ...

Re: New additions to my collection

I received a box of vintage magic for Christmas. All of the items were in "Like New" condition and appeared to have never been used. Whoever owned these gems before me even wrote the purchase date on most of the tricks. All were from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. The real jewel of this collection was a min...

Re: Regrets opening a Tenyo trick?

I think it depends on how you look at your magic collection. Is it strictly an investment that you hope to one day sell for profit or are they pieces of magic that you would like to enjoy during your lifetime? I personally have opened every piece of my Tenyo collection but very carefully. In my last...

Some sort of monte type effect is also my guess. Is anything gimmicked?
The dark green peas are magnetic. You can see the small magnet between them.
