Fantastic! It shows how patter and performance can sometimes be more powerful and entertaining then the effect itself!

Re: 2018 tenyo

Yes, putting it under pressure might remove the slight bend completely, but I don't think it's worth the risk. Here's my idea to get rid of the paper clip: smart_guillotine2.jpg smart_guillotine3.jpg And how it looks before performing: smart_guillotine1.jpg This way the blade can be presented on bo...

Re: 2018 tenyo

No other problems, light issues or reflective issues are my concerns, but there may be solutions to them, it's still a great effect, and once the blade is impaled you are free to walk amongst a crowd and turn the guillotine around for all to see!

Re: 2018 tenyo

I also received Smart Guillotine today. It's method is much simpler than I imagined but clever. I am concerned about one aspect when it comes to showing the blade, but I won't post any comments yet until others receive there copy and get to see its method. I'll be curious to hear others comments on ...

This effect does sound quite unique, and being a woodworker I have an idea how it may be constructed. Very cool concept and an interesting effect!

I have an idea how it works and if I'm correct it's going to be pretty cool. My idea is why I purchased it!

Re: Recreating Tenyo

Hi David and Richard, I made 6 copies of Magical Door in Walnut wood several years ago. I sold all the copies at my magic club and unfortunately don't have any plans to make any more. I wood work in my free time and that was was a fun project to create and I was very happy with how they turned out. ...

Re: The Best 'Cubio'

If you like Cubio be sure and check out this video. It's called Rising Golden Ball and although not sold as a magic effect it certainly can be played that way. Watch the last few seconds of the video and pause it when they show an open picture of the ball. I made myself a 3" version out of a chrome ...

Re: Sugawara's Ring and Ribbon Back in Stock

Both versions look great, but personally the way Sugawara's version slow releases from the ribbon leads my eye to only one conclusion, there has to be a s*** in the ring and I wonder if the audience would be thinking that too. This would only be confirmed when upon asking I would have to refuse to h...

When you sanded the cylinder, what # grit sandpaper did you use?
Many thanks for all the compliments! Bob I ended up using a fine sanding sponge, it would most likely be equivalent to a 220 grit or finer sand paper. Hope that helps!

Re: This one baffled me...

Hello all, for those that purchased Cleverly Threaded I was a little disappointed with the quality of the paint job done on this effect. I found mine started to flake and peel almost instantly, so I thought I would try giving it a new coat of paint. I found that a light sanding of the base and the t...

Interesting! I'm familiar with the original hover card, but the clean ability to grab the card in the air and show all faces is very cool. Nice effect!

Victor is correct on all his statements. I can't comment yet on quality as the effect hasn't arrived yet. But it does appear well made and I like that it folds flat for travel.

Re: This one baffled me...

I received my Cleverly Threaded effect. It was well package and shipping time was reasonable. I'm happy with my purchase as the price point was great but I believe they could have done a better job in painting the apparatus. This is not a big sore point with me as seeing it online I immediately didn...
