Re: Mystic Mirror - Magic Wagon
That's a hefty price tag for a fairly simple trick, but I'm quite sure that it will sell out pretty fast anyways.

Re: T-172 Invisible Zone
I have a question for you guys. Do you consider the lid and the spring to be essential parts of Invisible Zone? To me, the spring seems somewhat superfluous, but I also see that it can be incorporated in a story. And then there's the door. It seems the standard procedure is to close the door, insert...

The presentation is in Norwegian, BTW.
It seems this version is also available from here:

Re: This one baffled me...
Bill, that looks really intriguing! And the visual appearance of the apparatus looks very interesting. Is this a trick you own? Do you know if there's a video performance of it somewhere? I do have theories for how it is done, and it seems clear that the front facing card in the deck needs to be a s...

Re: This one baffled me...
I agree, Rob. Deck Zag is cool, but it will be angle sensitive, that's for certain. The device itself is pretty simple I think, so you pay for exotic wood and craftmanship. Price is absolutely reasonable.

Deck Zag is pretty cool, but it seems reasonably obvious what is going on, I think.

I'm not saying it is a bad trick, but it is just very obvious what is going on.

Re: New additions to my collection
So the Lackner version has fewer chips? I think that's actually an advantage, as it becomes borderline tedious with as many as in that 3D-printed version. Is there a video of the original version from Liebenow? And does this new 3D-printed version differ in how it works compared to MW Mini Phantom o...

The Colored chips and ESP symbol chips have on their backside a special G design Yes, very nice design, and I have come up with something for my own version now (which is not to be discussed here in the open section of the forum). Pictures coming up later tonight. Not sure if there's a point in cre...

Re: Alan Warner Magic
Oh, so I just saw a video of the Viking trick. They did something clever, so that the spectator doesn't have to place their chips face up, like in the Warner trick (and mine). I think I'll have to rework my trick now. And there wasn't more chips in the Viking trick, the picture just presented both c...

Enigmatic is a variation of Viking magics ESP-Chipsensational, but you probably already knew that Øyvind… https://vikingmagic.com/products/esp-chipsational-esp-chips-and-box-2 No, I did not. Re: Alan Warner Magic
I like Enigmatic, and I think I'll create my own version of that. I don't think there is a lot to improve, as it is obviously a simple trick, but I like it. I think it can probably fool quite a few laypeople.

Interesting trick. I think I have a basic idea how it works, though. I still think lay people will find it impressive.

Re: Alan Warner Magic
Not nearly as good looking as Pentra, though. And somehow I also like Pentra more due to the object being pushed through has more substance to it. This cheap version uses a card/picture instead. There is an advantage to that from a technical standpoint, but in my opinion it is less convincing. It is...

Re: BDM Safe Box by Bazar de Magia
After reading some comments in the TMC, it occurred to me that the keys could be manipulated. It is claimed that each of the 5 keys is able to open the lock. By doing some fine mechanical work on the keys, there could something be changed on the key that would allow it to be opened ... ? I find it ...

Re: BDM Safe Box by Bazar de Magia
M*gnet? Possibly, but I think Olaf's explanation is simpler. It does look like the performer needs to be the one inserting the final key, so I guess having a hidden m***et could be a workable method, but it is also more difficult to do (getting the m***et in position, and then ditching it to show e...

Re: BDM Safe Box by Bazar de Magia
What possible manipulation can be done to the key to make it the one that opens the box? My simple thinking says: the key is not put in the whole way, one mm less 🤔 As usual these videos are not honest - spectator can operate the last key !? But I don't have a real explanation either except for an ...

Re: BDM Safe Box by Bazar de Magia
I found a thread on this trick at the green site (which I haven't really been visiting for a long time), and I was partly wrong. The performer does not need to touch the box itself, but he must handle the last key. I will admit that I'm confused about that. Since the keys are examinable, what possib...

Re: BDM Safe Box by Bazar de Magia
Interesting that you should post that now. I've been thinking about a similar trick for quite some time now, except my idea is to use key cards (you know, the types with holes that was popular in hotels many years ago) instead of ordinary keys. This kind of trick is of course closely related to Anve...
