Re: Tenyo Non-Magic Items

Found these two Tenyo puzzles.
Both puzzles have the exact same 13 pieces. Yet the one on the left has 65 possible solutions while the one on the right only has two. Interesting how adding a simple pattern negates almost all possible combinations.

Re: Mickey/Disney Tenyo

Sounds like it could be the same thing.
From what I can figure out Tenyo did not invent this gimmick. I can't remember who created it but I think Tenyo first licensed it as part of their "Magician's Selection" series before making a Disney version.

Re: 2016 redemption/+1 trick: 'Strange Biscuit'

You'll notice on the order form there are three squares and one of them already has a rabbit in it. That is one of the coupons. Just cut the rabbit squares out from two other orders forms and then you have three. I don't think they don't sell it in stores. They want you to buy other Tenyo products t...

Re: My first time performing...was for Disney royalty

Great story Brett. Thanks for sharing. Definitely a most interesting way to start your magic career. But now that your first performance is out of the way the rest should be easy. Right? ;)

Interesting. I did not know that they changed this. Are you saying that all you have to do is press down on the bottom for it to rattle? It used to work the same as the house in Phantoma.

Re: Mickey/Disney Tenyo

It certainly looks extremely similar. I find it hard to believe that it uses the same method though. The Simplex Rising Cards are pretty old and you can get one for $5.00. But I have to say that the performance looks exactly the same. That is exactly what you do with this deck. Tenyo did add a coupl...

Re: 2016 redemption/+1 trick: 'Strange Biscuit'

Looks interesting enough. A little similar to other specials (cards and food) but a little different as well. Wonder if it is possible to get a matching bite out cookie. That way you can eat it after you produce it.

Re: The Best 'Cubio'

Don't forget the Pokemon version. :)

I think usually just end up using the plain vanilla version . It's small, fits in your pocket and does the job.

I don't have the Big Mac version. Just curious as to what the notable differences are.

It comes with two pairs of glasses but it's very easy to buy more.
Just do a search for Chromadepth glasses.

I like to do Flying Carpet a lot. It's not something that really fools people but it is different and entertaining.

That Great! Congrats! One thing I would say is get a pediatrician you are comfortable with. When I had my first kid the pediatrician we first went to would tell my wife a whole bunch of things she needed to do and a bunch of things she was doing wrong. Whenever we went there we ended leaving more st...

Sorry, It's been a while since I had my second kid and I don't remember too much. I seem to remember it was much easier than than my first kid in part because we actually had some practice and somewhat of an idea of what we were doing. :) Also once he got a little bigger it was great for my first ki...

Re: T-153 Diabolicus

I have two different Tenyo ones. One is very easy to read and one is harder. Not sure why. Maybe they originally made it easier and then came out with a harder one or maybe one just deteriorated a little and became easier to read. I also have the MB one and I personally didn't find it much harder th...

I believe the Clean Cut routine is the one you are talking about.

The Illusion Truck routine is basically this one:

Re: Tenyo: before and after Tenyoism

One item I have never really used is Golden Fleece because it never worked right. Well in the book it explains why it doesn't work and how to fix it. So I'll I think I will take that one for another spin (literally). Another one that I had never thought much of is Money Cutter. Always seemed very ob...

Re: Tenyo - Coin thru match

I would agree. Not worth $100 but definitely worth picking up for the right price. It's a simple trick. All you do is slide the coin in but what makes it fun is that you can hand it out and the spectator won't be able to do it. You can get a newer version of it in the Magic World magic set. There's ...

Was just reading a little further in the book and got up to a part where he discusses these illustrations.
It was indeed Mitsuo Wada that did them.

Maybe Mitsuo Wada?
He was in charge of package and product design according to the book.
I don't think I saw any other names mentioned with those initials.
