Re: T-245 Ghost Lamp

Really? Interesting! I have never seen a blue one. Now I am on a mission... :D Should I assume that the blue deck is the same Streamline deck as the red? That deck Japanmagic uses has a different back.i think it's a regular deck. Is that a safe assumption? HELP!!! I was just thinking (uh-oh!),...

Re: A big hello from a fellow Tenyo addict!

Thanks for the welcome Brett! I always felt that when performing for children, it's best to use apparatus which is colorful and visually satisfying to keep the audience interested. Also, patter which the children can relate to is very important. You want to tell them stories which tap into their ima...

Re: T-245 Ghost Lamp

Both the Japanese and English versions come with that red Streamline deck.

The blue deck that Japanmagic is using is his own and I think is sold in Japan.

Re: New 2017 Tenyo Line Coming Out on Thursday Sept.22

Victor...it can be fun to play with a Tenyo trick without the instructions to see if you can figure it out. I did that with Vault Vision and it puzzled me greatly. I saw that special thing but could not figure out just how it operated. When I tried different coins, I finally got it. That did not hap...

National Magic Week begins Tuesday October 25

Just want to mention that this Tuesday begins National Magic Week here in the US. No reason why everyone on the planet can't celebrate.

It appears that they planned it to coincide with Halloween and Houdini's death.

Re: New 2017 Tenyo Line Coming Out on Thursday Sept.22

Perhaps I should mention that a variety of both brass effects have been around for many years. Ring on Bolt is an old classic and what they seem to have done here is to add a lock in order to make the prop more deceptive. These have been made from metals other than brass as well. My favorite version...

Re: New 2017 Tenyo Line Coming Out on Thursday Sept.22

Those two brass tricks are not being manufactured by Tenyo. Most likely, they are a product of India or China where practically all of the brass magic comes from. Tenyo will be just one of many sources for those two products. In essence, whoever is making these brass products will not be giving Teny...

Re: Rob Rand and Magic Wagon's Ultimate Card Penetration

By the way, if you are a bit clever in making gimmicked cards, you can make that Bromley card yourself :) If you have Rubber Dental Dam... Woukd you happen to know what thickness is required? I am pretty sure that I can get some from my dentist. If you can provide me with the method for making the ...

Rob Rand and Magic Wagon's Ultimate Card Penetration

I ordered Magic Wagon's Ultimate Card Penetration and when it arrived, I was quite disappointed. First, I felt that the very long and very thin brass rod needed to be replaced. Second, after discovering the method, I wondered how I would pull this effect off successfully. It left me flat. Then, I sa...

Re: Alan Warner Magic

The problem with all those reviews is almost all of them are 'excellent/4 or 5 stars' :D Good point David! Please allow me to suggest the following. You can narrow it down by motif, type of effect and apparatus, and so on. For example, if you want his pieces with the Egyptian motif, there is plenty...

Re: T-245 Ghost Lamp

And as a last resort there is Steve who will have a nice amount in stock ;) With some yes and some no. It's interesting how availability greatly varies after Tenyo discontinues a T number. For example, Prison Box, Fortune Sticks, and President's Cabinet all seemed to become scarce much faster...

Re: T-245 Ghost Lamp

Hmmm...I think so. A Japanese friend informed me about two months ago so I am assuming the information is accurate.

Perhaps it would be best to wait until Tenyo officially marks it as such.

Did Tenyo mark Crystal Cleaver as discontinued? I was told to say goodbye to that one as well.

Re: Alan Warner Magic

I am a big fan of his work but own only six of his creations. My favorites are the three puzzle effects. That is, Red Chinese Puzzle, The Oracle, and Rainbow Puzzle. I love them! They are all based on a similar puzzle which I really like so I had to have those pieces. Fun to handle, practice, and pe...

Hi Robert and thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, I am who you think I am and it's great to hear that I have been helpful to you. It's a blessing to help others in a Tenyo way. I am hoping to have the opportunity to see you play that blues guitar in person in the not too distant future! A fun time ...

Re: T-245 Ghost Lamp

Tenyo discontinued Ghost Lamp recently. I suspect that they will dry up in the not too distant future. If you want one, this may be a good time to acquire it.

Thanks for the welcome David! Yes, those guys are me. David has kindly helped me by providing needed instructions for some Tenyos. I should learn how to read Japanese and stop bothering you for the English versions. By the way, your website is a terrific place! I have visited there many times.
