Re: Happy Birthday Kirk!

The magical birthday gift from my wife was “Die to Silk Transformation.” (Made in India) I’ve always loved this effect and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this piece . Well made, looks good visually, and performs smoothly each and every time. I also have the Thomas Pohle Black and gold ve...

Re: Most Deceptive Penetration effect!

This effect reminds me of an old Tricks Co. Ltd Japan trick called "Ninja Die Thru Card" by Tsuyoshi Nojima. I believe the method is identical to "Card Punch." With the Tricks Co. effect, the card is held to the frame with metal clips on the two short ends of the frame. You can show the front & back...

Re: Most Deceptive Penetration effect!

Okay guys, I can't say too much yet, but I've seen a sneak peek of a penetration that's coming soon. It is incredible. I was fooled SO badly. It uses a playing card. There are two versions. One uses a ball bearing and one uses a casino die. That's all I can say! I just wanted to tease you guys a bi...

Re: Doug Henning Tenyo Magic Set

John, You did a fantastic job recreating the box art! I was very surprised and delighted to find a mint set 30 odd years later. Especially since only about 50 of set B ever saw the light day (According to Tenyo-ism). I have no clue what the value would be. I will let you know should i ever decide to...

Doug Henning Tenyo Magic Set

Rarely does good fortune come my way but it did in a big way this past week! I acquired, what I consider, one of the "Holy Grail" Tenyo items…A Doug Henning Tenyo magic set (set B) in mint condition, still in the shrink wrap. Along with the set came a 19 x 25 box art poster, a one page (printed fron...

Re: 2018 tenyo

Today I received my first genuine Tenyo item, the Smart Guillotine. And I'll say I agree that it is smart. I had no idea until I tried it, and it is a real fooler. My unit was slightly bent (the transparent part of the main unit), unfortunately, but it could be straighted to a useable state without...

Re: 2018 tenyo

If you want to know how the same principle used for the blade would look if it had been made in Japan, just take a look at Mystic Blackboard. That should answer your question. Same principle, same inventor. I always thought that Mystery Blackboard was one of the great Tenyo effect and never underst...

Re: 2018 tenyo

I have been reading any and all reviews of the guillotine and find it interesting that the opinions are all over the place concerning appearance, performability (a new word?), and overall rating of the item. One person said that it's a great piece to play with but not to perform. Others like it! So...

Re: 2018 tenyo

I also received Smart Guillotine today. It's method is much simpler than I imagined but clever. I am concerned about one aspect when it comes to showing the blade, but I won't post any comments yet until others receive there copy and get to see its method. I'll be curious to hear others comments on...

Re: 2018 tenyo

I just received the Smart Guillotine and I love it!!! I'm glad I ordered two. :D The dimensions of the blade never change as it magically penetrates the dollar or finger. I couldn't fingure out how this was possible since the blade is shown solid at the start of the trick. The method is so simple ye...
