Hey....we have another craftsman here ! What a great community we have here. Great work Madison.
By the way, how did you find out how Side Track work ? Let me guess, The Magic Show Book ?
I should have a try to make this for my own too since I have not owned the Tenyo version

Correct! Just from careful observation of the magic show book.
I wouldn't consider myself a craftsman by any stretch! My work doesn't even come close to the work of Simon C and others here on the forum! Less of a craftsman... More of an arts and crafts guy haha
Make one Victor! After you make yours, perhaps you, Rob, and I could exchange ideas to refine them all!

I started to build my own magic props when I was a little kid because the magic props at that time was very2 expensive and difficult to find. Even I cannot afford myself to buy a good english magic books. So I read it at the bookstore and did some memory works
went home, search or spend my pocket money to buy some materials and I did my best to transform it to become a real props ASAP. Cardboards, papers, glue, cutter, pair of scissors are my best friend until today. I `m not really a craftsman too but as you mentioned an art and crafts guy....but I wish to become the next SimonC too or our Martin from Germany
Everything started with passion and the improvements will follow. I`m really sure you can do the same Madison. I will surely post it here when I succeed to make my own version of Side Track

Cheers guys
you just need fiddle-fingers and a slightly obsessive disposition. I've never tried to make a sidetrack but I think you've nailed it. I have the magic book too (love it) and it was tempting to get a second just to remove the 'sidetrack' effect but I think making it yourself is a much smarter (and less sacreligious) idea

Madison,
When you mentioned your Side Track is a wallet, I think that is a brilliant idea
What bothers me from the original SD was the front cover. The function of the cover is somehow missing for the laymen. Is it just to cover the main frame ? But what for ? (of course we know it is part of the secret) But when you remake it as a wallet, it makes sense because a wallet should look that way that and could be even better if you add compartments on the right side to store credit cards or bills or etc.

How dare you even CONSIDERING destroying something so magical!?
hehe I'd love to see how you'd make a sidetrack with your craftsmanship.

Thanks David. So would I! This would be the perfect mini illusion to carry. Maybe in the future someone will make these readily available. I think they would sell well.

Brilliant Victor! I think I just may have to do that...

Meh more of a "working" version than a "great" version haha looks can be deceiving! It's far from perfect.
Thank you for all the comments guys!!
I uploaded another video earlier as well. This time, Fantastica:

You are unstoppable Madison! Lucky for us!
It's fun to make tricks yourself isn't it?
The Escape King was a lot easier to make than Side Track!
With a deceptive presentation Escape King isn't bad at all! I like your presentation!

Really nice made Madison. You remind me again to my selfmade Houdini The Escape King version. We can have better patter with that version. Mannn....I forget where I stored that prototype...thanks anyway for the great presentation

So much easier! I think the biggest problem with Escape King is that it works exactly how people assume it works.

Thanks Roberto! Honestly it is a lot more cumbersome than I expected it to be. The cards have a tendency to get stuck inside the machine.

Wow Madison, you really are in a flow!
I see you managed to change the yen into a one dollar bill. I did the same with my Trisector, not really difficult to do!
What's next? Maybe What's next?

I was able to change it! I actually struggled with it lol I ended up having to use some double stick tape to hold it in place.
I actually don't own a what's next! Can you believe it!? Haha
I think the next one will be billscape.
