10- do nothing because you really don't have to...trust me
9- cough
8- sneeze
7- kick the table really hard
6- scream real loud
5- slam your fist on the table
4- shoot a gun or rifle
3- have someone walk into the room and slam the door closed
2- light a firecracker
1- punch your spectator in the face. They may still hear it but will have a more important concern at that time.

So there you have it!

I don't want to be overly critical but...what he does can draw some suspicion with adult spectators. They may wonder if that tap caused something to happen within.

Sometimes, overperformance takes place when too much is done during the presentation of an effect. That adorable little girl won't be suspicious most likely but older audience members may be.

It's not unusual for someone doing a trick getting carried away so to speak. Some would call it paranoia (self-consciousness) or simply overdoing it.

I have performed Crystal Cleaver too many times to count and never had anyone become suspicious of that sound. Of course, I only perform it for myself in front of a mirror!

I live in Texas. #4 seems very applicable in these parts.
