Simon, that would be an anti-climax. The image of the card appearing on the hanky on the spectator's cellphone, a souvenir he or she can take with them, is stronger.

You can even let them take the photo.

Has anyone ordered this recently and received the updated version (assuming you have the original, and can tell the difference)? If so, who did you purchase from? I like this one, but if there is a more deceptive silk to be had I would probably like it even better.

You can't tell from the package as far as I know. I assumed that the first run would have been sold out long ago, but who knows?

I assumed that the package reveals nothing. That's why I asked what I should be looking for. Perhaps I should have said inside of the package to be more clear.

If anyone wants the new one, I think I can help if someone can tell me what I am looking for with the apparatus. Actually, I think I will be able to get one for all members of this forum who want one.

I don't want to buy them unless they are the newer ones so I don't get stuck. Besides, I am doing it to help. I don't want one. I use a flip phone!

Steve, I do not use a cell phone at all but still like the trick. I let the spectators use their phones, it is even better that way. I perform it for the teens and 20 somethings that are so attached to their phone. It has gone over well.

I am one of the unlucky ones stuck with the 'old' version, where the image is even noticeable in normal daylight I performed it once for my wife and the trick was, of course, ruined before it even started. I might as well throw it away actually because I won't use it ever again.
I would be interested in a version which has better quality for sure. I'd even prefer the seller taking it out of the package and making sure it's OK ... .

I can get a dozen of them and only have to open one of the boxes in the dozen. If that one is the newer version, then they will all be.

So, if someone is willing to give me the info I need in a PM, I will check it out.

I just got Ghost Camera from Hitomi. I'm reading through this thread to see if I hav a new or an old one.

I can see where certain lighting could ruin the trick. I think it's new, but I'm not sure what I should be looking for. If the 'reveals' can be seen when it's on the table?

Yes Brett, even when it is flat on a surface you can still see 'something out of the ordinary'.

I tried working a bit on the handling today and I was worried the entire time. It's a neat piece of cloth, but man. It's a little frightening to work with.

So, can you also see 'something' when it is flat on the table?

Also, when my camera 'flashes' (which is more like a tiny flash and then a big flash), all is revealed when spectators focus on the handkerchief.

I tried it earlier under incandescent lighting. It's tough to see, but I can make out the outlines if I really look for it. It might also be that it's fresh out of the package and hasn't completely been 'ironed' out yet and the light hits it funny at certain angles at this point.

The flash of the camera and the flashlight function make it obvious. Although it's a bit funny to look at under the flashlight function.

Let the spectator take the photograph, that way he or she is not looking at the hanky directly (not through the camera).

That works if you perform for only one spectator
