If Tenyo made the base with a thick cardboard like a hardcover book, I think it will look much better and it will not so wavy when we open the base. I will definitely modify the base once I get this. I believe Simon will come also with a brilliant idea

I just got a response from Hitomi. Bellow are the release dates in her Ebay Tenyo shop.
She told me some (if not all?) tricks are already available exclusive at Tenyo shops in department stores.

- regular 2017 line: within a week
- Mental Magic line: within 2 - 3 weeks
- Party Magic line: in november
- the brass tricks (Antigravity Ball & Ring On Bolt Mystery) + Ring On Shoelace: in november

Others like the Kasudama trick will not be available from her shop.

It's going to be the biggest order ever from her in november as far as I'm concerned

Simon, yes, the cards for "Magic Maze" are made of sturdy plastic.

I am in Japan at this moment. Spent Friday at the Tenyo office and the staff did the four new tricks for me. They're all ingenious and excellent. There's one thing I'm going to ask Simon to make for me right away.

Regarding the trick with the small bowl of water in which the card appears, this looks far far more magical in person than on the videos we've seen.

All 8 new tricks, plus the 2 new Doraemon tricks, are available at the Tenyo Magic Corners. I visited Billy at Takashimaya in Shinjuku and bought an extra set. Also, the new Akira Fuji card trick item is available.

The four Party Party magic items won't be out until the end of November. That means, if they do come out in the US, it won't be until January.

The Doraemon tricks will definitely not be sold in the US because they only have the license to use the character in Japan.

How good are the two Doraemon tricks ? It looks to me like the old magic tricks but only customized to Doraemon theme.

Are you be able to see the effect of the 4 Party Party Magic ? How good they are especially the trick with the silks and with the jumbo flash cards (I believe) ? The effect other two (the light bulb with the d`lite and exploding hearts ) seem quite clear. Or there is new feature(s) in it ?

The Doraemon tricks are simple items themed to the character. No earth-shaking new methods, but all the props are nicely themed to the character and its activities.

I did not see the Party Party Magic line. They are not finished yet. The silks from newspaper is an old trick that has appeared in earlier Tenyo magic sets.

Hmm.. I really would be disappointed if the frame is gimmicked.

FINALLY! At long last we have a Tenyo that is inspectable before AND after everything is said and done.

I find that exciting.

And it's crazy that there's so much at work on that trick.

Rob, in that case you shouldn't buy it. Although I can't really see why a gimmicked frame is an issue. There really is no suspicion on the frame whatsoever. Look at the posted videos and tell me you can see something fishy ... well, I couldn't (unless you know what to look for of course) And the frame can be handed out after the performance anyway, as can the pieces.

Brett, it is examinable during and at the end of the trick, not at the beginning. People can also not put the frame into the cardboard box for obvious reasons

By the way Hitomi informed me the brass tricks (Ring on bolt & Antigravity ball) should be available from january 2017.

Those two brass tricks are not being manufactured by Tenyo. Most likely, they are a product of India or China where practically all of the brass magic comes from. Tenyo will be just one of many sources for those two products. In essence, whoever is making these brass products will not be giving Tenyo an exclusive.

Although I am not absolutely certain, I suspect that the last brass trick that Tenyo actually made (or had made) was their Bill Tube.
