Here is the back side.

I should have bought all back then... I would have saved a lot of money.

A while ago I scanned some Tenyotricks from a magic shop called Kali in The Netherlands. You can see them here:

http://www.astrangelab.eu/Kali-Tenyo

The prices are in Dutch guilders, so the euro prices are less than half of these prices...

Btw Kali doesn't exist anymore.

For instance, Knife of the Ninja costed 12 guilders, that is 6 euro...

Interesting to see the most expensive ones back then.

these are all brilliant, they remind me of flicking through the davenports catalogue, (they don't have I want more sadly) I remember reading impossible pen and trying to work out what the hell it was in about. I didn't know who lubor Fiedler was then ;)
it's interesting to see the trade prices too, I think we should print one of those sheets out each and put it in our wallets or next my to our computer to help give some perspective when bidding on eBay ;)
Now you see me...

I bought a lot of my items from Kali, one of each. He had Sidetracks, Ultra Tubes, Space Towers, Bare Bones, Mystery China Boxes, Ninja Experiments and so on. Plenty of them I may add.

When he decided to close his shop I drove to Dordrechts on a sunday afternoon and he opened his shop specially for me and my wife. He showed me some very old items from Viking, Tricks Co. but I only bought one or two. I bought some extra Tenyo's but didn't 'hoard', which I should have at that time ;) One exception: Ultra Tube. I bought all 6. I sold 4 for 100 - 125 EURO each in the following months. I have two left, one to play with and one sealed 8-)
Another problem was most of his Tenyo's were already packed in boxes and he was anaible to get them since they were in a warehouse.

A few days after my visit I got an e-mail from him. He told me he was willing to sell his intire collection of tricks (not only Tenyo) for 10000 EURO ... . I declined because at that time I didn't have room for them to store everything

I believe his stash was bought by Dynamite Magic, because not long after he retired a lot of Tenyo's showed up on Dynamite's site, for approx. 10 times the price he was asking for them.

Sigh ... if only I bought them all, I would be rich I tell ya! ;)

Yes David, that's life...

By the way, I still own all catalogs since 1988 from Magic shop.nl, and I plan to scan all Tenyo-items, mainly because of the rather humorous descriptions. Of course only nice for the Dutch/Belgians, alas for the rest of the world.
