Tenyo has always been known as the premier plastics trick maker and I think that anything made of wood won't be a re-make, but something new and different and something to set them apart. Thoughts???

The new Tenyo Elite item will not be something new. It will be a remake of an existing Tenyo trick.

On the Genii Forum, the following comments were posted in regard to the new Tenyo Elite effect:

"Not only is it a rare Tenyo effect, it's a great Tenyo effect."

Tenyo Elite are overdue with their announcement. Someone asked about two weeks ago for a status and there has yet to be a reply.

Ironically (or maybe they are watching us ;–) one of the Tenyo Elite Partners just made a post in reply to the request for status:

We are now currently in production with the new item, and we should be making the announcement and begin taking orders with in the next few weeks. Yesterday I saw the first one completed off the line and it's beautiful! We anticipate these to sell out very very fast, so be sure to keep an eye out here and be sure to join our mailing list so you are among the first to receive the info and among the first to be able to place an order!

It's true that TENYO has made and remade some of there item in other materials, but it's also true that they are number 1 in plastics. Ask yourself if you were going to change materials wouldn't you also want to make something different not just a remake, I believe I would............

I think I see what you mean rick, instead of existing tricks being made I higher grade materials, they should have a separate, perhaps more expensive line of new effects in these materials, a bit like dynamic coins? I see your thinking, rather than remaking a trick in wood just for the sake of it, making a trick that is designed to be made from wood in the first place, that perhaps wouldn't work in plastic. Interesting. They could almost start a thing like 'Paul Harris Presents" where tenyo put their name to more specialist effects in smaller runs. "Tenyo Spotlight" or something.

I've worked with metals and wood, and most plastic items are made thru injection molds, making plastics the easiest to work with. Metals can be molded, machined, drilled and polished. Woods have a rule of thumb measure twice and cut once because that's what you will live with. If it's made of wood it will need to be a hard wood and that's costly, so it will be an expensive item and that's why I would make something entirely new and it just might be a new line of high end magic.
