Simon,
I feel very strongly about the "If you can believe it, you can conceive it." concept.
You have set an admiral goal, and you will reach it ... this I know!
and now, on with the show ...

I will make a prediction about what's to come for the 2018 Tenyo tricks; and if I'm right, I should be entitled to one free magic trick. They will put out at least four tricks that will confuse and fool lay people and possibly magicians.
God bless, Jason Scott Irelan

For sure Simon will one day be listed as a creator of at least one Tenyo Magic Trick. I am certain of this.

I believe you will see at least 8 tricks again, and at least another four beyond that for the Japanese market. Possibly even more.

Amiami has listed two new Doraemon tricks coming in July:

Computer Pencil
NS Patch

I assume that last one might make more sense if I actually saw the cartoon?

Elliot,

You always find something new really fast ;)

Additional info which probably can give us more description about the effect :
Computer Pencil : http://doraemon.wikia.com/wiki/Computer_Pencil_(gadget)
As you requested, video for the NS Badge effect : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYY9J3NdvMQ
It`s weird to watch the Doraemon cartoon in Hindi :) :) The effect is like magnet poles N for (North) and S (South).

Thanks for the info Victor. They make a lot more sense now. :)
I ended up getting the first 2 Doraemon tricks. They were pretty cute tricks and nicely made. Maybe I'll pick up these as well.

Elliot, there are hundreds (I assumed) of Doreamon gadgets created if we read the comic books and I can imagine Tenyo starts to develop magic trick based on this gadgets. So more interesting stuff will definitely come in the future. I have a feeling that it will become a quite big portfolio for Tenyo. It is very interesting for Doraemon lovers who love to collect the gadgets and I never see it before. And to combine this with magic effect, it is absolutely perfect. Now I am tempting start collect them since It`s still easy to find and not so expensive. It will be interesting also to combine with other magic props and the variation of routine is endless.

There was a series of Doraemon magic tricks (like the Marvel Magic series), very hard to find...there was some very interesting tricks on it, with very attractive cartoon like props....it was not Tenyo, but very Tenyo like...does somebody know more about them?
Here the complete series:

Here an example of one of the tricks:

This one looks interesting....reminds me of Tunnel of Darkness:

And what about this version of a well known Tenyo trick:

Some of them on Amazon Japan...but they don't ship to Chile :(

Fun, yes, and absolutely perfect for children!!
I really would like to have that one in the video for little Benjamin when he's a few years older - doesn't take THAT much practice I think :D

Are these still for sale? Roberto, perhaps you can direct me to the seller where you bought yours?

There are still a few left on Amazon Japan but it looks like only 2 of them can be shipped internationally. I think I also found one on Rakuten Global if that helps.

I managed to order just two of them. If you look at Roberto's photo of all 8 above, I ordered top left (first one) and top right (last one). That's all they had remaining when I got there.

Interesting looking and hopefully worthwhile. They look cool/cute and came to around $16 each including shipping so not a big investment. I couldn't resist!

Thanks Roberto and Elliot for bringing these to our attention, providing information, and for the photos and video demo. :)

Can we safely assume that the little yellow frame is like Tenyo's Antigravity Rock?

The tricks look pretty badly done. If they were great, and sales were good, I don't think the license holders would have gotten Tenyo involved. In addition to the two released last fall, I believe there will be more Doraemon tricks from Tenyo this year.

I just got word that my two tricks shipped so, in just 33 short weeks, they should arrive.

I suspect that when Roberto receives his, he will make a video demo of at least one of the two he ordered, and it will look pretty darn good! ;) I am hoping that if he does, he will choose that yellow frame one.

Sometimes, a mediocre trick can look really good in the hands of a capable magician such as Roberto. It's all in the handling and presentation.

I received the two I managed to order. One of them is very cool! You have two cups and the figurine. The spectator hides the figurine under one of the cups and you tell them which one after staring at the cups with a small telescope. At least, that's what I figured from examining the props and staring at the illustrations included in the instructions.

This one can be much improved by using more than the two cups provided. You can use three or more of your own cups such as those small paper bathroom cups.

The other trick is the yellow frame one. So far, I am not impressed and not sure I know how to use it properly. If it's supposed to be like Antigravity Rock, it's terrible! If it's something else, I have yet to figure it out.

So, one out of two ain't bad as they say.
