Personally, I'd REALLY like to see more things that stray away from card and selection predictions. Between 2016 and this year, I've had my fill of prediction magic. I was a little bit disappointed that 2017 had only one trick (perpetual puzzle) that was vastly different from the others.

I LOVE the 2017 Hyper ESP Cards.
There are a few killer tricks, especially the one where you make the design on the cover of the card case.

Totally agree with you Bob. It`s one of the best marked ESP deck ever created full with routines and additional gaffs. It`s just perfect !

Agreed. Enough with the card and prediction tricks. I was wondering if anyone heard any rumors about the new why that's coming out at the end of this year?

Last year the rumors came around June in Japan and the product released starting around late October till the end of the year. All 8 T Series came up first before the Party Magic and Tenyo Doraemon series.

Early rumor is that Matthieu Bich will have a trick in the line.

They usually debut the new tricks at the Tokyo Toy Show which starts June 1st this year. At that point more info usually leaks out.
Before that though is the 2017 +1 special which I'm assuming should come out within the next couple of weeks or so.

This is good news. Bich puts out crazy stuff. Although I'm betting 10 to 1 it's a card trick.

I'm sure it'll be several mind blowing tricks that'll baffle lay people and possibly some magicians.

I too would love to see a "No card tricks" year with Tenyo!

I suppose you'd consider Card Surgery a card trick even though you're restoring a card instead of revealing what card a spectator chose by either free will or force.

Actually, I don't think of Card Surgery as a card trick but a brilliant and clever restoration. I love the frog dissection theme and plan to purchase that add-on in the future.

Not really. It's a restoration that just happens to use a card.

Then if you look at the other Tenyo tricks that came out that year, there's a year that Tenyo put out tricks without putting out any card tricks. It seems like there were plenty of years where they didn't put out any card tricks.

Tenyo has always had a smattering of card tricks throughout the years. It just seems that between 2016, 2017, and a rumor that signals that we'll be seeing more of it in 2018; Tenyo is REALLY focused on card tricks and predictions at the moment.

I know that they are catering to their customers on the mainland. But I hope that they branch out a little more in 2018

I did not say that the Bich trick is a card trick, and things are always in flux until the line actually comes out in September.

Tenyo has demonstrated items at the Tokyo Toy Show that have never been marketed. They use the venue to test ideas and sometimes eliminate or change handlings completely after the show.

I know you didn't say it was a card trick. A lot of what Bich does involves cards. That's what my prediction is revolving around.

I can confirm that this year the 2018 Tenyo line will not include a Jenzo Harmonics effect. Not for lack of trying! I think I've submitted 10 tricks so far!

Simon, sorry to hear that ... . Do they actually send you an e-mail not only saying 'no' but also explaining why your concept/idea wasn't chosen?

I have to fill in a submission form along with an explanation and ideally a video. It usually take about 2 weeks to get a response. They are always very positive about my ideas and attempt to explain why they aren't interested. There doesn't seem to be a specific criteria, I'll crack it one day ;)
The support from all you lot keeps me going :)

I tried once Simon....you have tried 10 times. I understand your feeling. It is very challenging but in the same time also very fun to explore new ideas. Keep going Simon ! ;)
