Your favourite rare tenyo piece!

Post by bradtoulouse » Sun Apr 09, 2017 9:56 am

What is your favourite "rare" Tenyo piece that you actually own?

For me right now it is the sweet nightmares trick....combines professors nightmare with rope to silk...

Just like the look of it and the idea of combining these two principles.

How about you?

Telesphare is nice old Tenyo. Everything was precisely made with high quality and nice weight and it has great routines.

Talking about rope to silk and rope routine, Tricks Co. came up with a nice idea in my opinion. We started with a long rope, make a loop and tie a knot (in actual we switch and make a knot with the small piece of rope), shift it to the middle of the loop and "cut" the middle. So in actual we have a rope with a know in the middle and it magically transforms into double silks. Just like doing the classic cut and restored rope but with different ending.

Ninja Experiment is my favorite. The props look good, the effect is great, and no unwanted sounds. ☺

My collection, if you'd call it that, is very piddly. Mostly common stuff, little bit of discontinued stuff, and then 1 really rare item.

Big Mac Cubio.

This is by far my favorite performance piece in my inventory. Of the 3 McDonalds Tenyo promos, the Cubio is the only one without blatant McDonalds markings. Which makes it soooo easy to pass it off as a regular burger for routines. Plus, with it looking like a burger (and not an odd die/box), routining with it is super easy and relatable to the audience.

If you're big on performing with Tenyo, I'd highly recommend this one. Kelle Botond has one for sale.

I'd go for Mirage too. So clever, baffling and always ready to go.

It may not be rare, but I have one discontinued trick, and that's Crazy Spots, so that's my favorite.

I'd say that "Sidetrack" is perhaps my second favorite.

Performed it for a 10 year old girl the other day, who proceeded to exactly describe the method when I was finished. You REALLY have to watch the way the light falls onto the plastic.

I always thought Doug Henning bore a resemblance to pictures we see of Jesus back in the 70's.

I just received a Modified version of Sidetrack that uses a card with a notch cut in it. It was made by Tenyo and sold as a improved version of Sidetrack. It is a Tenyo's Best Selections item and comes in the Maroon box.

Whoa that sounds rare and expensive.
What does the notch do?
I don't even have sidetrack so this will be interesting to know the difference.

I am very fortunate to own a Mystic ruby in honour of my son. It's a great trick to perform, so subtle and elegant. Added bonus is my own Mystic ruby really enjoys watching it :)
