I like what I see with the MRI, the others I am not sure of but I will be getting them all of course.

The prices are great two. Sixty dollars for all four tricks in Japan.

Hopefully we will be able to get them for around $80 from Penguin. They had the best pricing for the 2013 Tenyo tricks. Right Richard.

The Yen is falling against the Dollar. It is at a three year low at almost exactly $1.00 to 100¥. The last couple of years it cost $1.33 for 100¥.

To tell the price of an item that is shown in Japanese Yen you drop off the last two zeros.

Best one on Ebay last year was Magico-Japan although there is a difference to what Hitomi sells and what you would get from Penguin or a shop in England.

All the boxes are the same now in Japanese. But the ones sold in America have a cello envelope attached to the back of the box and in the Envelope are Professionally Printed English instructions. This is something that Tenyo does for the tricks being sold in America and Europe.

What you will get from Magico-Japan is translated instructions or a photocopy of the English Instructions.

Not a big deal but good to know.

The MRI thingy looks a winner and can easily be used together with other mentalism type effects I think.
Lubor's trick/gimmick will be great as usual too I think. The one with the envelope is based on an older principle (at least that's what I think) and the paper-to-money trick has been done before, but as usual Tenyo will give it a special 'twist' I'm sure.

From the looks of it the Paper to Money looks like it is currency specific being that they are selling two different versions of it. I do hope they are planning to make a dollar version of this as well. It would seem a little odd doing it with Yen over here and besides the price for it would come out to be 6500 yen since I'm assuming I'd have to buy a bunch of 1000 yen bills.

I don't think a USD version will be a problem as tenyo almost always produced USD versions of their tricks, I am worried about a EURO version though

Tenyo Magic Festival will be taking place on this upcoming Sunday September 22, 2013

Not only will there be great performances showcasing Japan's best magicians, but I believe that this is the first time that the 2014 line will be sold to the public. What is exciting about this is that we will start seeing pictures and videos of the 2014 tricks and we will be able to get a better feel for what the tricks are.

It is amazing that in January the Tenyo creative team started working on the tricks and now in September, just 9 months later, they have four quality items in package ready to sell. The weeks leading up to this event must be very stressful over there at Tenyo Japan.

Recieved a special delivery this morning. MRI proves to be a disappointment. No spoilers but its pretty much just a bit of black acrylic with some mirrored vinyl stuck on the front.

Over recent years Tenyo has been pulling back on what it offers.

No more English Package.

No more Catalog, just a flyer.

Less graphic design efforts put into the packaging.

Just to be clear, I did actually make that MRI out of bits of crap on my desk the box is a fake too. I was teaching my class about box nets and got a bit carried away
MRI is the one I'm looking forward to most, I'm fanaticising about it being some sort of smart material that can give you a peek (like the glass doors that go from clear to opaque when a current passes through them) so kind of like a modern twist on mindscanner. I know it won't be like that but that would be awesome. Especially if it was a one way mirror so the spectator never knows
