Tenyo 2018 redemption trick: ‘Super Victory’

Post by Brett H » Tue Apr 10, 2018 6:31 pm

For those who haven’t seen it yet:

The newest +1 is a take on Rock-Paper-Scissors. Looks like the magician can win fairly every time.

I’m trying to figure it out, but according to the FB post, it’s solid cards and no special markings. So I’m stumped.

Thoughts?

I find it very interesting that Tenyo released a second +1 trick this year.

Is this the first time they did two +1’s in the same year? I can’t remember them doing that before.

Eventually, your questions will be answered Brett. It appears that it’s too soon for those outside of Japan to know much about it.

By the way, nice to see you on the forum Brett! It seems to have been a while. I hope that all is well.

There was another one? The only other one I knew about was last years 'Magical Chocolate'.

Yeah, without a demo of the trick, I've probably jumped the gun. Part of the fun is trying to see if there is a similar method.

I've noticed on this site and others, in regards to Tenyo releases, that there is sort of a predictable ebb and flow.

By the time the new year rolls around, everyone has their hands on the new stuff so no more conjecture can be thrown about and it's just reviewing them, and the occasional alternate presentation videos.

Then there's about 2 months of not a whole lot, then the +1 comes around and stirs things up again (followed by a lull until people receive it. IT gets reviewed. HUGE lull until we start getting news about next years line).

It's been over a week and nothing has been said about the new +1. Found that a bit strange.

Oh man, it has been a bit! Been in a slump for months and I'm just now surfacing and trying to get in the swing of things again. Hows everything on your end?

I was actually counting the chocolate +1 as the first one. It appears that I lost track of time concerning +1 releases because it seems to have come so quickly! Moving right along...time does seem to fly.

Some people have received their trick. A first review here:

Someone finally put up a video of this. It's cute but to me it seems similar to a lot of the other packet tricks Tenyo has put out lately.

Thanks for the video Elliot. I 'think' I know what's going on, but still ... a nice trick for laymen I believe. All 'seems' very fair ;)
I should be getting my copy one of these days and I'll post a review once I played with it.

I got it !
... but the notice is impossible to understand just with the pictures.
I just think the cards are not marked and it's a mathematical manipulation.
Do you know a Japanese ocr to understand the notice?

I got this in the mail a few weeks ago. I like it! Haven’t dabbled much with the second route be yet, but the first one is pretty fun to mess with. It’s even possible to have the spectator win every game. It’s like the “color test” on Magical Sneakers, but a bit more fun and relatable.

Hi Brett,

I had been waiting for this trick for a long time! I asked for a parcel in economic mode through the service sal (Surface Air Lifted) of Japan Post and the package has ... 2 months and a half to arrive!
I open it and I am unable to use it!

Thank you for your help, the PM is sent ;)

SAL Post is funny like that. 90% of the time it takes 2 weeks to get to me. But then once in while I'll get that 2 month delay. Never figured out why.
Anyway I should have my Super Victory coming sometime this week (unless this is one of those times...).

This is often true.
We can also add that it is not expensive.
But I just had two other packages that took two months to arrive!
Maybe it depends on the time of year and the fill rate.

A big thank you Brett!

The translation is very good :D

I really like this trick, simple and incomprehensible for the spectator!
