Tenyo Homing Die

Post by Brett H » Sun Feb 24, 2019 1:18 pm

I saw an auction for Homing Dice recently. I can't find much information about it except for a small description on Stereo's Tenyo blog.

I think I have an idea of how this particular version is done,; no idea if it's correct or not. Magic Wagon has a version of Homing Dice, but Tenyo's lends itself to more of a walkaround/strolling performance and Magic Wagon is more of a table performance. Is this a trick that performs well? Or is better as a collection item?

MW's Homing Dice is completely different from Homing Die by Tenyo. Tenyoism discribes there were actually 2 versions of this effect made by Tenyo.
In involves a gimmicked die (nothing overly complicated) en normal dice. The reason why this never became a big hit has probably to do with the need to palm die/dice in the routine, which laymen in Japan weren't very fond of.
You can indeed make your own version.
This is one of the reasons why I like Tenyoism so much; it gives you several opportunities to recreate past Tenyo tricks.
