Eye of the Idol Problems

Post by reverend.dave » Tue Jun 04, 2019 12:24 pm

Hi All,

I would appreciate any assistance if this rings true for you.

I am having an issue wityh an Eye of the Idol in that pressing on the bottom does not depress it at all. What I remember is that the bottom moves a few mm just enough so the idol will not rotate if sitting on the table anywhere near the magnet. It works great when it’s on the stand in present condition.

Anyone experience this and/or preferably, know a fix?

Thanks in advance,

David

It's been ages since I played with this one, but I do remember the difference between the magnet in and out of the cover is very, very small on my one.
If I performed it I always made sure everything was in place at the exact positions where they were needed. Pressing the magnet in or pushing it out was never reliable for me.

Hi David, Mine suffers the exact same problem as yours. I did find a solution that works for me and that is I place the idol on top of its cover to display it at the start of the trick. There's a small recess in the top of my cover and it's enough to prevent accidental turning of the idol. Give that a try, hope it helps!
