My problem with Tenyo Lancelot

Post by BobD » Tue Jan 14, 2014 3:50 am

I like Lancelot because the method is different. The best handling of this trick that I have seen so far is by our very own member, Roberto B aka Magic Patagonia. His presentation in YouTube baffled me even if I know the original method. I could have never guessed his secret had he not explained it.

My problem with Lancelot is with the cellophane case. It seems so fragile and creases easily. I would like to perform this trick regularly but I worry that I might tear the cellophane after repeated uses. Does anybody know where to get replacement parts?

I dont own lancelot though I would love to.
I can possibly make replacement parts, it depends on what they are.
If you let me know what the cellophane part is it sounds like I could probably laser it.

After the video my Lancelot box is now separated into two pieces.

LOL Roberto! Oh no it isn't funny at all, but I suspect that you made 100 videos for this trick before you were satisfied!
And Lancelot said CRACK

By the way, inspired by your video I recently purchased Lancelot, but I am not able to do it the way you do! And indeed, what a fragile box it is, I mean what a lame and cheap connection between box and lid!

But you could repair it with some "scharnieren" please use the translator for this Dutch word ;)

I will send you a picture of Lancelot within the week. Let me know if you can make a wooden version. If you can and if you are interested, I will give you my Lancelot in exchange for your wooden version. My Lancelot has been played with a few times. It is looks new and the packaging has been carefully opened. There are a few creases in the cellophane case.

A wooden version what a good idea! But I will not bother Simon with it, I plan to make one myself! Easy job.. and of course... with scharnieren! And a second one for Roberto :-)

I'll stick to mirror mate for now, I'd need to work out how Lancelot works first, I've not got it. Possibly a future project tho :)

Simon, we become concurrents!
Contest: who will make the ultimate Lancelot in wood in the near future?
Of course, I have only simple equipment for woodworking...

Although you will win, I will have fun making it myself! :D (You will also have fun and you will be the winner I am afraid... )
