Sutekina Trick

Hello Everyone,
I have heard there is a knock off Sutekina/Rope of Calcutta out there somewhere. I was looking for the knock off to find how it's done and to tinker with it to possibly build an improved effect. As the Tenyo version is an expensive trick, I have to settle with a knock off. If such a knock off exists, does anyone know who sells it?

A wonderfull trick is made and sold by Alan Warner: Thru 'n Thru. Made out of wood, works great and looks wonderfull. It isn't that expensive.
Another variation is sold by Hocus Pocus:
http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/. It is named Ribbon Fantastique and sells for 80 USD - also made out of wood.

The version from the Netherlands appears at first glance to be adaptable as a stage illusion (this is an opinion given
without knowing how the effect is done). The other one might be adaptable for a children's story. Does anyone know if they all work on the same principle?

Hi everyone,
First of all, I like to apologize that this trick is not performed by original prop either created by Edward Massey himself called Ribbon Fantastique or by Tenyo (Sutekina Trick). I bought this trick few years ago and I came up to the idea on modifty the prop become a theme and I came up with the Houdini in the Boston City Prison, which I think everything fits together. The prop itself now looks more like a mini illusion and with a little bit variation of some elements it can be shown both sides and delivers stronger climax. I hope you love the basic idea on this variation of routine.

I love the dark theme (!!!) the VERY slick performance, the wonderful addition of the cloth…
The sliding front and back is … hallucinating
This video is simply SUPERCOOL and the performance is PERFECT !

. My version and hadling of Sutekina was inspired by David Copperfield TV Series, Escape From Alcatraz where he raise bed cloth in front of the bars and suddenly escape.
