You're most welcome Bob. This trick is highly recommended and everything is cleverly constructed. I plan to practice this again and perform it in the special occasion like wedding party. A nice beautiful moral story can be added also by performing this routine.

I am a fan, and enjoy reading his advice and psychologies.

I saw Eric do the most perfect "Coins and Cylinder" (other than John Ramsay) I ever saw.
I have the book by Victor Farelli entitled "John Ramsay's Cylinder and Coins" from 1948.
I also have the Ramsay books by Andrew Galloway ...

PS. I love the misdirection process for the coin vanish!

Bob, thanks for ringing the bell again about Tangled Web. I heard a lot of good review on the book. Seems that I need to take a look for that one.

and I love it so much ! You are right, his handling is quite different and actually he eliminates some "moves" that quite risky to be executed in the normal C&C routine. Especially the sound problem. Really clever indeed. Unfortunately I haven`t any chance to get in touch at this routine. The props look quite simple but it takes a quite a lot of "investment" for me especially if we want to have a good quality one. Maybe I should start Thanks Bob!

Dan Harlan fooled Pen and Teller with his famous Cartoon Deck a.k.a Tenyo Animation Card. Sounds impossible huh...but I believe he will fool all of us too !!

I did spot something... It seems he has all of the final reveal cards lined up along the back of his table. It was always going to be a heart as he was using equivoque so there's 13 cards lined up (maybe even less if he didn't have the court cards or ace, his wording was a bit interesting with those ones). You can see him steal something from the back of his table. The clever thing is he still does all of the moves as if he was performing animation card so penn and teller think they know what's happening.

I don't think he used a magician's force for the heart because he says choose one that you want to keep. Perhaps some type of indexing system? It looks like he is loading it from underneath the table when he scoops the cards.

When I do a magicians force I use the words keep and take. So he could say "which do you want to keep?" She says hearts "ok well throw away the diamonds and keep the hearts" she says diamonds "ok you keep the diamonds and thatvleaves me with the hearts"
"Take" can be used in a similar way, I always say "which of these shall I take?"
It can be either
Ok I'll take these away
Or
So we'll take these ones great

But Simon, Dan clearly mentioned this sentence :"... whatever you CHOOSE, is what we`ll use." It`s little bit risky by saying that statement if he want to force the color. And so far I know, the word "choose" is taboo in the world of equivoque. Let`s keep this as a mystery and stay happy being fooled

Two Percent Tacks baffled me......especially since everything can be examined at the end.
Perhaps a good example of magic with everyday objects, in this case desk items you might have in your home
or office.

Ha!....I thought so too...... What I did like is that the spectator is left to examine two actual pin holes
in the bill,l and two real tacks embedded in the wood top.

This is incredible! These tacks must be gimmicked, needle slides into the holder, 2 contra magnets to let the tacks 'float'?

You are correct ...

I will assure you (AND SIMON) that in the Dan Harlan "CardToon" trick, the spectator has an absolute FREE choice! As unbelievable as this sounds ... it's true. This is a very, VERY clever effect!

I am guessing that the holes were already there. If you pause the video, and look at where the pin closest to the camera was placed, then drag the video to the point where you observe the holes, you will notice that the hole closest to the camera is not exactly where it should be if an actual tack penetration had occurred.

I have never seen this, but I like the idea ... it needs a few refinements though.

I.E. Those tacks probably would not be that easy to push into hard wood. (especially pushed to the point where they are "FLUSH."

I have cartoon, it's awesome I know in that trick you have a free choice but the kicker in this effect is that none of the cards are gimmicks as they are in the original. Watch the vid and you will see he steals the final card from the back of his table. We're thinking there's some index of either all the Reds or just the hearts
