Very cool! I believe it is the same manufacturer as the one who created the wooden Prison Box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trnMYnixjIQ&t=19s .

I have spoken to the performer and it is a friend of his that makes these. Looks like we have another excellent manufacturer for wooden props :-)

This multiple top box was crafted by a craftsman from the Karakuri Creation Group http://www.karakuri.gr.jp/creation/index.html I believe Akio Kamei originally crafted this box http://www.karakuri.gr.jp/creation/kamei/kamei.htm

The Karakuri Group is a Japanese group of puzzle box craftsman that make and sell puzzle boxes. To purchase a puzzle box directly from them you need to join as a member. With your membership fee you get to choose a craftsman and at Christmas time that craftsman will ship you a puzzle box of his design. At the time no solution is provided and you have to solve how the puzzle box is opened, if your unsuccessful than in January the Karakuri Group sends out the solutions to the puzzle boxes so that you can open your box. I've been a member for several years and have a large collection of Karakuri Puzzle boxes, there craftsmanship is top notch! Check the links above to see some of the puzzle boxes that the group has created, they are highly sought after by collectors!

This was for me a baffling effect, for sale at Zauber-butike.de:

Geschickt eingefädelt - EUR 29,50

https://zauber-butike.de/epages/4a349d8 ... oducts/108

Here's the video:

Is this really a baffling effect, or is there someone who says: Oh, I've seen this before ???

I have seen this before! In fact I saw a vintage version for sale in an EBay auction. It uses the same principle, see this link here https://www.ebay.ca/itm/172458174033

If you look closely at the pictures you should be able to figure out how the effect is done. ;)

Thank you Peter! Seeing the pictures, I know how it works...:)

But I consider the version of Zauber Butike much better, beautiful design, and the gimmick is practically undetectable ! And the price is very low!

I couldn't resist either and also ordered it! :D It appears to be nicely made in metal and when you compare it to the version below we got a great deal! Many thanks for posting Rob!

Well, Peter convinced me :) That's less then 1/10th of the price of Owen magic  , and it does look very good, all made from metal!

I placed my order through e-mail because something always went wrong with the website ... .

I ended up purchasing it over PayPal and Marco was quick to reply with thanks! I think we won't be disappointed David. Should be a nice piece!

Cool trick! It reminds me of blockbuster, is it a similar principal?

Hi Simon, actually the principle is completely different than Blockbuster. Blockbuster is a much more complicated mechanism, Cleverly Threaded is much simpler. Thanks for reminding me of Blockbuster as it's very cool to see two similar effects with very different methods!

Ah, just got an invoice from Zauberbutike - glad I got this ... showed it to the wife and she was completely :o :?: :geek: ... :D

Jason, the trick Rob mentiones is available at a German shop (see the link Rob provided above). It costs about 32 USD, and shipping is not included (it will be a total of >40 USD for sure with shipping included to the USA).

However I believe you are talking about the trick that Simon re-released some time ago. Do contact him because it is a great little and fun thing to have :)

I have "Thread It" and have always liked the effect but I really like this new design.
The only issue with "Thread It" is that you can't be too close to the spectators when you pull the needle out or they may see something that could clue them in to the method.
When those of you who purchased this receive it, please let me know if the needle is designed well.
Is so, I too will be purchasing this effect.
