Wow Martin, it's a high prize, but it is also a very rare item, which cannot be remade I believe ...
the mechanism is very delicate! (I know, because I translated your German book about Edler :) )

What an interesting piece of apparatus ... . The routine is pretty basic, but the gimmick certainly doesn't seem to be.
I wonder why it sells for so much though ... . You shared quite a lot of information with us/me about the fine apparatus crafted by Karl Edler but I never knew his pieces (or perhaps it's only this piece?) are so valuable. I assume there are a lot of people looking for Karl Edler in Europe perhaps?

[EDIT] Ok I just saw the advertisement. It seems when you convert 150 36's Reichsmark (the price back then) to EURO you already have more than 450 EURO 8-) That explains part of the high price already.
