Great work Simon and very nice video too. Love it. The effect is so simple but the principal is puzzling ;)

It takes a bit of practice but once it clicks you'll have the knack.
I can make a super secret tutorial video if that helps, or if you have any specific queries PM me and I'll give you a hand.
When I first read Terri's instructions I had the block in my hand and went word for word.
Good luck and thanks again!

Simon's Packages.jpg

The way these are packaged they look just like what we see here coming across the border from Mexico found in door panels and head liners. I wonder how may times they get dog sniffed and x-ray during shipping.

This is really a fine piece of magic Simon made, it's a quick and impossible looking effect! He even added some spare parts, nice guy as he is :)

I too want to emphasize what a great fellow Simon is to deal with. We all got a nice litle extra trick and also spare parts. Mine didn't work but after seeing the video tutorial I tried it again and I now have a 100 % rate of succes. It has become one of those litle tricks that sits in my display cabinet (in the 'set' position) waiting for people to ask 'show me something' 8-)
Looking forward to your next release Simon, which I hope will be a run of your Coin Through Match (Redux) :)

I was recently made aware of this extremely clever trick, and I may well end up making my own 3D-printed version of it. Not sure I can make any improvements to the original, though.

This was a nice thread, and I still have and cherish the wooden version of Blockbuster with the celtic design...
I wonder Øyvind, did you manage to figure out how this one worked, or did you read the explanation?
I think it’s fun to make a 3D printed version! Yes this is indeed a very clever item!

Rob, I was sent the instructions by someone that wondered if it was a trick that would be suitable for 3D-printing, so I cannot claim to have figured it out. I actually hadn't seen the trick before reading the instructions, so I never really got the chance to even try figuring it out. That said, I'm fairly certain I would have come up empty in trying, at least on the specifics.

I've done a little prototyping now, and it isn't that easy to make it work reliably, to be honest. I'm going to see if I can make a small improvement to it.

By chance I came across this thread and find the trick really remarkable. I also have no idea how
it works and have seen a Breeze version in an auction recently but with shipping and customs it would have been too expensive. Is there a chance for a new edition by Simon or other sources ?

There is a chance I will make a version, but I am working a bit on and off with it. As I mentioned, getting it to work reliably (as in every time) is a challenge. As far as I could read from other sources, other commercially released versions also can have this issue.

When your version is perfected - would it be available to others ?

Most likely, yes. At least to people in here, should anyone want it.
