What is this?

This trick was found in a box with other magic but had no instructions. Does anyone know what this is.
Obviously the trick involves some peas and tubes but I sure would like to know what the routine is.

Looks like some version of telesphere. The caps, however, look like a set of thimbles. Possibly two tricks mixed together in the same box?

Some sort of monte type effect is also my guess. Is anything gimmicked?

The dark green peas are magnetic. You can see the small magnet between them.
