Congrats Øyvind with Hextop!
What a coincidence Øyvind, just a moment ago I saw the latest video by Mr Puzzle, and to my surprise he commented two puzzles sent by viewers, and one puzzle was made by you
I hope I may share this video here: the first puzzle is made by you, and it’s called Hextop. This might also interest PeterW

Great that Mr Puzzle picked your brainteaser! I always enjoy his videos!
So you’re also a puzzle maker, wonderful!

Thanks for the mention Rob! Beautiful design Øyvind! Always great to see new puzzle designers! Wonderful creation!
Re: Congrats Øyvind with Hextop!
Thanks, guys. I actually sent him that puzzle many months ago, but unfortunately (as he also mentioned in the video), the second part of the solution happened by coincidence for him (so he wasn't sure whether he should make a video or not). I knew it could happen, and I had made countermeasures as best I could, but it isn't good enough. The first step is possibly a unique method, though. At least I have never seen it before, and I was pretty pleased when I got the idea. What he didn't clearly mention in the video is that it only opens if spun the correct way (and then stopped).
This is not my first puzzle either, BTW. I just haven't posted about it anywhere.

Great job Øyvind. How did you ever conceive of the solution? I wonder if you make the spinning in the other direction if it would have stumped him.
At any rate, I have to give Mr. Puzzle a lot of praise for being able to figure the solution out. I would never have been able to do it myself.

Re: Congrats Øyvind with Hextop!
Thanks, Olaf. Designing puzzles like this is fun, although coming up with magic is even better. I have had a request for manufacturing this puzzle actually, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it.
Re: Congrats Øyvind with Hextop!
I'm no puzzle expert but I think your puzzle is extraordinary clever
What would be wrong with a manufacturing in your opinion ?
Re: Congrats Øyvind with Hextop!
There isn't really anything wrong with manufacturing, it's just that it takes a lot of time and effort (it's not just the printing itself). And also, as I mentioned above, step 2 could be solved by coincidence, and that's something I am not really happy about.

Øyvind, then i have misunderstood your comment ...
I thought this was about a professional factory fabrication
Now i understand your concerns and viewpoint = a lot work
