On YT there are lots of skilled people, and this guy puts out really interesting stuff. In his latest video he creates a lock that he thinks is more or less unpickable:

I'm quite certain that at least RichardW will find that video interesting.
Unpickable lock (not magic related)

Øyvind, I can totally understand that you are enthusiastic about such things, I also liked the video and the learning about "Lockpicking", as it is quite vivid dispayed but I did not quite understand his "lock system" yet. And I wonder how often he sees his wife during all his craft activities.

Yes it was interesting.
He really hasn't done anything that hasn't already been tried.
Love to have access to those machines.

As a locksmith you have much more knowledge about these things, so when you say it has been tried before, I have no doubts that's true. I guess it wasn't found commercially viable, or were locks like this actually sold and used?
And I agree about his machines. He's very fortunate to be able to buy all of those (and have space for them), even though I think he's at least received a sponsorship discount on some of the latest (due to showing them off on YT).

Many locks have come and gone usually for high failure rate. The more mechanical parts you add the worse it gets. Plus need to be able to rekey the lock easily and get duplicate keys made.
