i really enjoy performing this trick. this is real magic seems to me. no gimmicks..no lock..no mechanism.. just some few and simple shakes then VOILA ;) (i perform this together with the CHEAP MAGIC LUDO)
don't CHASE your dreams...rather COOK them...

This was the second magic trick I acquired back when Magic Works was a thing. Mystery Dice was the name.
I got the trick with no box and no instructions. So I didn't get the MOST out of Mystery Dice, but I did spend an entire day screwing around with dice combinations.

The problem in my case was that it was the second trick I acquired--the first being Crystal Cleaver.
See? Not exactly the fairest follow-after.

That said, it's a smart trick. One of the smartest dice tricks I have seen.
Even better is that the trick is 100% inspectable. AND there is no switch, lever, or secret button. It's a smart, minimalistic trick.

However, I have 2 gripes about it:

1) I could be wrong on this one, but the trick, to me, seems narrow as far as an audience or spectator who could or would appreciate it.
I say this thinking of doing the trick for kids 18 and under. I can think of one way to make it more kid friendly. But it would work better if you actually gave the kid an actual die and teaching them how to guess the number on the opposite side of the die.

2) It's absolutely tiny. It's the ultimate CLOSE-UP trick. But after thinking about it, it would look ridiculous if you had this Harry Potter style 'dice wand' that *clacked* like an old jalopy to get the gimmick to work.
Where's my colon?!

I just found this post. Darn clever routine!!

I also recently purchased a bundle that included the ESP Dice version. Fortunately the case wasn't green. :)

It's a great add-on item for your collection, and not too hard to find (cheap). The cards (shown in the link above) are marked ESP cards. I like it!
