This is an effect that is often overlooked but I love it. It is so easy to do and you can really focus on the story. It takes the well known principle of the stripped deck to a new level.
The trick was new for 1996, a year after the great movie the Usual Suspects came out - no surprise :) This offers you a good lead-in to the trick.
Also, the names Mr. Brown etc. remind me of Quentin Tarantino's movie Reservoir Dogs.

I've always had a soft spot for US, it's a shame tenyo didn't stretch to beeping buttons (and the symbols are a bit random) but it's charming in its slight oddness. The concept is great and I've always loved the finish. For anyone who missed it, i will post my 1920s mod I made. You'll need to print and 'strip' the cards yourself and the police station is to cover the buttons. So all 6 suspects 'walk into the station' but only 5 walk out, leaving one in the cells. You should be able to print them on photo paper or nice card. If they aren't high res enough I can email them direct.
I've also attached an optional 'line up prediction' - if you cut out the three line ups and follow these unnecessarily complicated instructions you'll be all set.
As per the pic, mark the three line ups in you preferred way so that you can tell from the back whether it is 1,2or 4.
You can then show your 6 suspects and have one be selected, shuffle your line ups and ask if their criminal was in each one. If they say yes make a note of the number (1,2or4) the number from your yeses will be the number of the criminal (see guide above their heads in pic) you can then finish the trick to show their selection in jail.
It sounds complicated but is essentially a mini dream Psychometry.

What I like most about this one is that you tell a story rather than just do a fast magic trick. Also, the suggestions offered here for alternatives to the cards provided are terrific!

Yasuo's demo is a clean nicely presented demo of this effect. There is a woman on YouTube who also does a nice job with it. Her excellent speaking voice adds to the presentation.
It's a Tenyo day in the neighborhood!
