My rating for Knife of the Ninja is a 7.

Pros
Very original
Great props (any trick with a knife is a winner in my book)
Easy to do
Gets a great reaction
You can use a borrowed bill
100% Success Rate

Cons
It is not easily obtainable (1 every month or two)
It is expensive, costing in the area of $100

I like Knife Of The Ninja but haven't performed it much. I still have to replace the USD gimmick with a EURO one.
When I perform a knife through bill routine I mostly use Masuda's The Blade which looks organic.

Anyway, I gave it a 6 out of 10 because of the originality and clever gimmick(s) involved. It's not something that ranks among Tenyo's best ever in my opinion, but it's cool to have. 100 USD is indeed a pretty high price for this item, there are other discontinued Tenyo's in that price range that are better.

Hi David, due to the high price of this trick, could we make the trick by ourself ? Just for private use only. I believe the plastic knife could be substituted with a real knife which will be more convincing and the construction of the plastic gimmick will be not so complicated. Thanks ;)

It should be doable, but the plastic needs to have the right 'shade' (or 'tint') ... difficult to explain. But yes, if you find the correct type of plastic I don't think it will be hard to make :)

Was really disappointed in this tricks gimmick, I have a knife thru bill trick that uses a metal knife and has a MUCH better gimmick than this one but unfortunately it is Very old and needs to be rebuilt. Its on my very long to do list.

One of the best knife through bills you can find is The Blade by Masuda. It uses an organic looking exacto knife and is easy to do. I think you are refering to a similar knife Mike?
