Saqqara Mystery - Magic Wagon

Saqqara Mystery by Magic Wagon will be available on Sunday 24 February 2019.

A strikingly beautiful cabinet is displayed and opened to show a small shot glass on one side and a red mysterious package on the other side. The performer then closes the door, opens the top compartment and hands “the ancient spells message” to a spectator to read invoking a mystical spirit. Amazingly, when the door is reopened, the mysterious red package is now INSIDE the shot glass! The performer then removes the shot glass and allows the mysterious package to fall out and into the spectator’s awaiting hand. The cabinet may also be handed out for examination! There is not a clue as to how the mysterious package not only moved, but floated up and into the shot glass.

This beautiful piece of magic is based on Milson Worth’s Astro Ball Cabinet (the brilliant concept which was originally invented by Stewart James) but the nice thing about our model is that it is self-contained. The cabinet is entirely free from any encumbrances as nothing is attached to any table or furniture which does make the effect more practical to perform.

The cabinet, without the panel in place, measures approximately 14cms wide, 12cms high and 7.5cms deep. Although the effect has been remade by countless builders over the years, this is, without question, one of the finest and most exquisitely detailed “Astro Ball Cabinet” effects ever produced. The entire outfit is extremely detailed with genuine Egyptian motif and each set has been painstakingly and individually hand-crafted by our own exclusive artist.

Comes complete with everything you need including Mr. John Talbot’s “Saqqara Vault” 4 page routine and other ideas, plus an optional way to perform the effect using a flash device!

The photos really do not do justice to this very elaborate piece of magic apparatus. It is absolutely stunning in appearance!

Our special thanks to Mr. John M. Talbot for the effect name recommendation and for writing the instructions and routine.

Interesting approach of the classic Astro Ball Cabinet, and in a mini version, with a shot glass, and a small present packed in red paper.

Nice idea of a small compartment above, with a secret message.

Needless to say that the removal of the lid lets the magic happen...

I won't buy it. But must admit it's a great looking item...

I agree that it looks nice but I am disappointed that it’s a one way trip! According to the description, the “package” finds the glass but does not return home. Is that all it does?
It's a Tenyo day in the neighborhood!

Looks great, but taking the lid of is suspicious ... . A nice trick nonetheless, but I passed ... .
I'll keep using the pocket version by 3D Magic Works/Romeo B. . Less appealing, but completely self working and less expensive.
To be honest, If I would have enough money I would probably have bought this version, alas ....

Another reason why I don't buy Saqqare Mystery is because since November 2018 I've been obsessively busy with a Lego version of this trick with a more complicated mechanism.

Here a video of my 2 mini versions :

I like them both but the smaller the better so I choose the first one. These must be the only versions with the solid wall/divider.Great work Rob.

No Simon, I got my inspiration from Steve Presto, see his video:

In his version there’s clearly an electronic mechanism inside.

My versions are mechanical. And superfast, and immediately ready to perform again. Unlike the old Astro Ball cabinet, and also Magic Wagons version.

By electronics, do you mean the shaking box ?
The process could also be mechanical ...
Shaking with a foot mechanics ...

Well, not sure if it’s electronic, maybe a clockwork mechanism. Overall, I find the look of this Ghost Box rather dull...

I actually like the big wood box with full size goblet.
Can do without the shaking box bit.
"let's continue on with this carnival-like atmosphere"

That's perhaps a bit surprising, but I'm guessing the seller might have expected a new and clever mechanism, which it does not have (as far as I know). It sure looks like a beautiful item, though.
