Tenyo Magician`s Selection 2016

Hello everybody,

to all of you who have Facebook acc. and already become friend with 株式会社テンヨー マジックファン （Tenyo Co., Ltd. Magic) maybe already knew this.

The Tenyo Magician`s selection 2016 is the "Ring In Shoelace". I would like to know actually who is the inventor of this trick.

I was lucky to own this trick few years ago but with other version and it works really clever and very2 practical. Zero preparation and ready to perform, required no special outfit and it works very quiet. That`s why I love to perform it. I added a small sock (to replace the magnifying glass which Copperfield use) for the misdirection purpose . The spec hold the sock, I borrow and vanish the ring and tell the spec that her ring will appear in the sock but it ends on the shoelace. The angle is sensitive at certain point but if you perform it correctly as David Copperfield performed, you will solve the angle problem. Basic sleight of hand required to vanish the ring but very easy and everything works almost automatic. If you can vanish a thimble with the thimble move, you can do the same thing. The illusion at the end is perfect. Highly recommended ! And I would say Tenyo made a right decision to select this trick into their Magician`s Selection Series

I'm pretty sure Chris Kenner is the originator of this effect. I don't know if this is the same method.

Thanks for the input Randy Yes, Chris works close together with David. He is really a good magician. Looking at how David did the move / handling, I`m pretty sure that the method is the same

Finally, we're getting a David Copperfield trick that's been in the public view for quite a long time.

The price made me jump, as this is the most expensive Tenyo item they have released (aside from Elite) in quite a while, if I'm not mistaken.

I've suddenly acquired an interest in finger ring tricks, so this looks like something I'm going to need to acquire sometime in the future.

I think it's official Bob...but it's not part of the T series. But I could be wrong.

The Magician's Selection series is is a more professional line of magic that Tenyo sells only at their Tenyo Magic Corners. It is not part of the regular T-series. Some of the items in this series are made by Tenyo but many are made by other companies and Tenyo just distributes them in Japan.

I haven't seen them too often but Magico does seem to offer them once in a while. For instance she is selling the Tenyo Le Paul wallet now. You can always ask and see if she can get something for you if you don't see it. Another place to watch is Seo magic.
As far as items made by other companies that Tenyo distributes it is usually easier to just buy the version that is sold in your country.

The creator of the Baby Shoe trick is Chris Kenner, there's no doubt.
There's also no doubt that no one, to the best of my knowledge, has been given permission to sell it.
Tenyo is/was simply buying them from Bazar de Magia.
