I’m surprised to hear that it’s a bit more complicated. Now I’m curious if it’s ‘fun mental exercise complicated’ like Magical Burger. Or if it’s clunky and cumbersome ‘complicated’

Many will be delighted that they are getting the opportunity to own Fortune Sticks if they missed it the first time around. Needless to say, Tenyo rereleasing one of their T numbers is a rare thing if they have ever done this ever!

I assume that the blindfold is just that. Perhaps cleverly made and maybe comes with some excellent suggestions for its use.

Bento is interesting in that there are many people in the US and possibly elsewhere in the world who are familiar with at least some of the foods included in the set such as tempura which is one of my favorites. A great (and educational) storyline can be used with this effect. I am looking forward to that one!

The selected card reveal one is nothing new but the way it's revealed and its method may be interesting. We'll see...

The 2018 Tenyo line may well be the most interesting and unique one we have seen for quite some time. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I have seen the new 2018 Tenyos demonstrated as well. Here's my take...

1, Mentalist’s Lunch Box- you have already seen a demo for this here on the forum. Two foods are selected by the audience and you tell them which two were selected. Interesting!
2, Magical Star Sign- a selected card is revealed in an interesting way. A board displays the card in a stars in the sky kind of way. Visually satisfying!
3, Mind Stick from Mental Magic Series- you know this one. It's Fortune Sticks.
4, Miracle Eye Mask from Mental Magic Series- 5 playing cards, each with a different color back and a unique symbol on the face, and a blindfold is introduced. The magician can tell one card from another even though he/she is wearing a blindfold. Not bad although I have never been a fan of blindfolds.

So there you have it! Hope that helps...

Miracle Eye Mask reminds me of an old Royal trick, Feel A Color: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S3091 - you can use whatever blindfold you want with that one, or do it behind your back. Excellent little trick, and reasonably priced too

By the way, although they still make it, the quality of the cards themselves are not what they used to be. Surprise surprise...

From what I heard, two effects have been held up until December so they rereleased Fortune Sticks as a replacement.

The blindfold is ingenious. I am not sure if the method is original with Tenyo, but it's sure made well and will fool laymen.

No. Unfortunately it's been long discontinued. I've seen them pop up from time to time on Japanese sites but that's about it.

For the magical starlight, I love the idea on adding mobile phone flashlight with the white paper to support the trick. Such a simple and cool idea

I have already fortune stticks but I like the bento and the magical starligth too.
On the other hand, I'm not a fan for Mental Blindfold. And as I think it takes a good acting, you have to like this trick.

I am aware of the blindfold method and don't remember seeing that exact method (design) in a blindfold before.

Let's just say that the handling of the blindfold is everything and care must be taken when handling it as to not give away it's clever method.

You can make a GREAT party routine with the blindfold.

Have 3-4 people put their keys in a fishbowl (haha!)

Put in blindfold, pick out one of the keys, and identify ehose keys they are.

Okay. Good news and bad news.

GOOD NEWS: There will be a WESTERN version of Bento Box so if westerners wish to perform Bento Box, you're not restricted to just sushi. Sorry Europeans

BAD NEWS: The food pieces are 'blocks' and the food you see is just a STICKER.


Man! If ONLY we knew of someone who did 3D printing and could make something like that (assuming the 'blocks' aren't gimmicked).....SIMON!

I'm ashamed to say I've only just managed to catch up with the latest Tenyo news, but the news tricks are interesting!
I am pretty sure that I will be giving the bento box the Jenzo treatment, just need to get my hands on it and work out how to approach it. Watch this space!
Seeing as Tenyo are re releasing fortune sticks perhaps I could re-release my first ever release, Planetary Sticks!
I'd have to redraw it all from scratch as I lost my original plans but if there's enough interest I'm sure I could be persuaded

Although I am not certain, I believe that the rereleased version of Fortune Sticks will not only come with the old standard instructions but may include a new set of instructions with a different routine.

I will post here as soon as I find out which may be early this week.
