Easter contest 2017 - Elevator Coins routine

Hi everyone

This part of the forum has been pretty quiet for a very long time ... so I decided to have a little competition



The winner will get the item bellow, which is a brand new in package (and the package is absolutely perfect!) Trio Cigarette.



I realize this isn't the most sought after item, but it is discontinued and I believe some pretty sweet routines are possible with the gimmicks included
I bought 3 of them a few years ago and all I need is one to play with and, spoiled as I am, one to display brand new in the package ... .

As most of you know by now (if you read the new posts on this forum regularly that is ), one of my favourite Tenyo's is Elevator Coins. A good routine/story is, however, necessary to make this one a really nice magic trick.

So ... what I had in mind is this: post your routine/story/... in the thread in the Focus On Tenyo section which can be found here.

I will choose my favorite may 16th (which is a pretty special date ). She or he will get the Trio Cigarette, for free of course, and I will send it economy . If the winner wants me to send it signed for she or he will have to pay a few $ ... .
If you already have this trick, why not have a spare ... or why not have one for future trading or selling ... or just have fun joining the competition

Rules:
- I will choose the, in my humble opinion, best routine;
- submit ideas no later than may 15th;
- item will be sent economy (no tracking);
- in order to join you have to be a full member of this forum;
- the routine can involve other items or other tricks, not necessarily Tenyo;
- you do not need to have Elevator Coins in your collection - if you read in between the lines of what has been posted on the forum I'm sure you'll be able to know how it works and submit an idea/routine ;
- routines/ideas/... must be submitted here.

Ok guys, as already mentioned the routines can be seen here.

Both Victor and Brett submitted a fantastic idea, but the effort Victor put into his idea was just unbelievable ... . So, the winner would be Victor ... however ... Victor mailed me and told me he already had a Trio Cigarette. That and the great atmosphere on this forum made him decide to give the prize to Brett

I also remember Brett performing at hospitals which I think is one of the greatest things we can do with our magic ... so I'm also very happy I can send the prize to him I know ... magic with cigarettes in hospitals ... but since we all found out that hidden gem of a Youtube channel Brett has I think it's safe to say Brett will eventually will come up with a unique, wonderfull and funny routine for the children

Everything what David said was true. Hope this will be a nice surprise for you Brett! Let's say it is an early or later birthday surprise from all of us in the FSO. So the Tenyo good karma is really exist too I know also that you love to collect tenyo and let us help you to grow your collection. As David said, probably this prop will not fit into your performance in hospital but I think you are creative enough to think about alternative routine using same gimmick but with other object for example like pencil, crayon, similar size object like the cigarette with the gimmick you can produce or vanish the object. Really nice set I would say.

In this competition,it was not my intention to win but rather to share ideas and spread happiness to the members. I think this is also John's main objective by creating this forum

Hope the prize will arrive soon into your hometown Brett and have fun ! as david mentioned, maybe a nice video will come in your channnel with the trio cig

Victor: I did not create a routine with the intention of winning either. David said he was trying to think of a routine and I went off of that. I found out about this contest later on. When he said in that I was 'in the running for a contest', my reaction was , 'contest?!'

I had a look at what Trio Cigarette is able to do. I'll definitely have to do something with crayons...sans lighting it (at least, I can't justify leaving a goopy crayon mess). I already have an Ultraslice routine in which I use crayons (albeit, you have to literally slice 1/4 of an inch off of the top for each crayon to fit).

It did get me thinking of cigarette magic and routines I can do. I've been on a big Tommy Cooper kick and I've been (rather absent mindedly) thinking of how to perform cigarette magic 'wrong'. Looking for exploding cigarettes. Maybe do the Trio Cigarette routine where you make a lit cigarette disappear, but have it explode right after it disappears.

It'll be fun. Another tool in the inventory! Thanks again you guys!
