New Member from Canada
Hi Guys,
I'm a retired doctor from Canada. Been interested in magic for most of my life and included it in my work for many years. Now, I'm interested in developing props and gimmicked effects with my metal shop.
I was a chemist before medicine so that has been useful with magic as a hobby.
I'm looking forward to meeting folks with similar interests.
Take care
Doug

Welcome Doc,
Doc really wanted to be here because we had some problems getting him on and he was persistent which is wonderful.
Doc, you will really like being here, we are a very creative group and love brainstorming and creating things and you will be our first Metal Worker.
Cool Beans,
John
P.S. Another prominent member here, John B, has a PhD in Chemistry as well.

Seems my efforts will pay off!
I certainly am looking forward to some brainstorming.
I've found the "what still stumps you" thread - some clever thinking there!
Thanks for the warm welcome!

You are almost there. You just need to complete step 3 here.

Even if he is making Blue Crystal, doesn't that still count as working as a chemist?
"What's my name?"

Re: New Member from Canada
It struck me this New Years just how much basic science I've forgotten over the years.
I have a couple nieces in Calgary who give "uncle Doug" a call now and then for science homework help. I try to pawn them off onto my wife (a family doc) but eventually, it comes back to me. So far - so good. Heaven help me when they get to calculus. I figure I can plead senility if/when they hit thermo but I'm dreading that day!
